edited 26 July 2013 at 12:27PM in It's gone, but was it any good?
I went to buy ipad at tesco today. The sales assistant told me that an offer was starting next week where you can trade in your old tablet (as long as its working and has a power lead) and get £50 off an ipad. There is also £5 off any ipad case and a free year accidental damage thrown in.
Apparently the offer was supposed to have started but they have an IT problem with it!!
For those without a tablet there is still a £20 off on line code on tesco website to use against ipad. HTH x

In theory, you could buy a thirty quid tablet and trade it in for fifty quid off:

If you buy a £30 tablet to get £50 off, you're left £20 better off - at which point wouldn't it be less hassle to use the £20 online code mentioned by the OP?

Don't think the £20 code stretches to iPad mini? Could be wrong though

Its £20 off a spend over £250 and £10 off a spend of £125 so yes should be £20 off the ipad mini.
  • Hi - Was the trade in offer from an Extra Store? Which department would you go to to get this? as i've tried to look online and can't see anything promotion wise.

Hi my store is an extra store but as long as they sell ipads then they should be doing the offer. I spoke to a lady on the electrical desk this morning who said they were still having 'technical problems' and the offer should start mid week. HTH

If you buy a refurbished ipad direct from apple you can get good savings over the cost of a brand new one, between £40 and £74 off an ipad mini depending on the memory size.

They come with the same guarentee as new ones and you can take them to apple stores if you have a problem, our son's have all had refurbished ipod touch's, andI have an original ipad refurbished, they were all spotless and looked brand new, came with cables etc, only difference was the box they came in.

They seem to have quite a few ipads in stock at the moment.
