I just had a call from the radio station saying that I was one of 30 that had been selected from around 500 to go to Warrington on Saturday morning at 10.30am for around 3 hours to play "Loot in the Boot".

It's an 8 hour round trip so I declined (1 in 30 chance of winning £2k) and they're going to draw someone else to take my place.

Presumably that means that this comp is now expired.

I only entered this morning and I was VERY excited when I took the call and the lady said "you entered a competition to win the loot in the boot....."

Sorry to bump but just thought I'd say I also received a call telling me I'd been selected. 3 hour round trip for me so I agreed, although I still haven't got a clue what were ment to do on the day, foolishly didn't ask too. Hopefully will find out more once I've received my email confirmation.

Thanks for the post. I'm inclined to agree that this must have ended if they are contacting finalists.

I've had the call too and I live in warrington. I asked what it involved and she said ooh just common sense, so that's me out lol. She's going to email some details tommorrow or Friday, I said its not making a fool of myself is it and she said no. Intrigued. And she said in the phone call upto £2000
