Help me out MSE's

I bought a pram set on the internet for £500 when it arrived It is too big for my car.
I rang them back to arrange a collection to be told that i could only have a credit note as the item wasnt faulty.

Ive checked the website and no where does it say they only give credit notes not full refunds.

Can anyone help me please?? can they do this?

Sorry ive put it here but i didnt know where to put it.

I *think* something to do with the long distance selling regulations means that you have 7 or 14 days to return the item for a refund, without it having to be faulty

I'm not sure, but someone a bit more knowledgeable should be along soon!!

I take that to mean you can return it within 7 days from delivery, but you have to pay to return it?

I'm pretty sure the 7-day rule is correct as I've used it myself. You normally have to pay the postage yourself, I think, as it's sort of your choice to return it, isn't it? After all - you could have tested the size by checking it out in a high street shop, presumably?
