Snowy What are togs?We swim in ours. Togs=bathing suits.
Hi Aussie
Togs are the rating system used for duvets - they go from about 3 which is lightweight up to about 15 which is v.heavy winterweight. Even if your duvet doesn't weigh very much it might still have a high tog rating, so it'd be v.efficient at insultating heat and keeping you warm and toasty. We definitely don't go swimming in our duvets though we do refer to swimming gear as togs as well.
Frugal - you're sounding happier now, hope it goes OK for you tomorrow.
I've been for a long drive today, was getting fed up looking at the walls. So that was half a tank of petrol wasted  . I did pop into T.K.Maxx but the queue at the checkout was too long to bother with so I left empty handed. I also popped into the supermarket, it was hell on earth but I persevered as I needed to get a few things for tomorrow.
Gosh my life is boring... haven't done a single interesting thing all weekend..

Hi Again
DD had a great time and came back bearing gifts....egg fried rice, chicken chow mein, beansprouts, mixed veg and prawn crackers....healthy or what:eek:    ....they had gone out obviously for a chineese and she bought back the leftovers....moneysaver in the making:o:rolleyes: :rotfl: ...so OH & I have some dinner. We were going to have a sarnie but what the heck...live a little:D They went to the park, read the papers and had a picnic lunch. Then went back to their place and did some revision with her...she had a great time!
DD has asked for packed lunches which is annoying as she gets a free school dinner, so I have compromised and said yes to 2 days a week. She wants to eat on the fields with her friends and by the time she buys a roll or pasta salad she literally only gets a few minutes. I have just packed up for her: a wholemeal ham & lettuce sarnie, 2 x small yogurts, handful of raisins, handful of LF crisps and a bowl of red grapes with fridgefruit pear quarters...I will put a couple of ice cubes in in the morning to keep the fruit cool. So thats 3+ fruits/veg just at lunch and of course she will have a bottle of water and top up from the fountain. Does that lunch sound ok? I will do her a chicken/rice salad for tuesday I think as I have some leftover chicken which Im doing a curry with for the freezer tomorrow.
God.....I am so nervous about tomorrow:cool:
Hugs to all.

We go camping every year kyle and love it. I have a 9 man tent ( now theres a thought
) for myself, DD and DDog. We are booked to go to Cornwall in August for 2 weeks and cant wait. I couldnt imagine going abroad now. My car gets packed up to the roof ( even though we go camping I aint roughing it for nobody  ) we mostly have disposable BBQ's on a night with a few veggies cooked on the little stove. A little tip is to take ready prepared food for the first day as by the time you have driven to the camp site and set everything up you cant really be bothered trying to start preparing dinner IYSWIM. Another tip from my Mum is to buy the great big plastic dust covers from TJ Hughes for about a pound then put the plastic sheet down on the ground before you pitch your tent then you wont get the botton dirty and it is easier to put it away afterwards. Happy camping
Glad to hear you are feeling a little bit more relieved frugal - will still be thinking of you tomorrow and ((((HUGS)))) to haribo too

Hi again to you all
Not long back from DD's having duly delivered our boys. In the course of the afternoon of course first one and then the other had a major kick-off for their Mum and Dad!!! Typical.
Almost took double journey home time tonight - Forth Road Bridge roadworks almost totally gridlocked. Nightmare!
Sorry to hear of your worry Frugal. If possible take on all the advice you have received today. These folk know what they are talking about! Haribo - hope your hospital visit goes OK too.
Pennyp - glad you have had a lovely day - lunch out and a free dinner too! Hope all goes well with the start of your new treatment. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
Kyle - tent sounds superb! When can we come and join you? We wouldn't take up much room honest!
Anyway love and hugs to those of you I haven't mentioned.

BlairW - meant to mention you too. How awful that this has happened. Reinforcement that he is now XDH! Is there any way you can try and get the money back? Glad your flat mate helping you out.

(((Hugs))) Frugal - thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed! I had a scare 6 years ago on finding 2 lumps and was sent for a mammogram at 44yrs, then for an ultrasound where the consultant told me I had a couple of cysts so nothing to worry about! On leaving the hospital I immediately went to volunteer at our local cancer research charity shop! I was so relieved!:j I have an appointment for the week after next for my next mammogram (I am now 50 so hopefully just routine) still nervous though! I guess we all are.
Today was a lovely day spent with friends, we had lunch out and then explored the wildlife nature trail which was beautiful and I managed to get some interesting information about the area for my Aunt and some great photos. On leaving for home lovely friends gave me 12 pints of semi skim milk to put in our freezer!:T so that will help with the June grocery challenge!
Off to take some painkillers for my teeth, just hoping to be able to get some sleep now!
(((Hugs)))
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

oops a daisyAnother tip from my Mum is to buy the great big plastic dust covers from TJ Hughes for about a pound then put the plastic sheet down on the ground before you pitch your tent then you wont get the botton dirty and it is easier to put it away afterwards.
What a brilliant tip!
I've been camping for the past 18 years and never thought of doing this and every year we've taken a brush to brush off the mud from the bottom of the sleeping compartment...duh!!!
I've always considered myself to be an experienced camper, starting with DH and me and two bikes and a tiny tent, onto a huge house tent (slept 6) and 2 young kids, then onto an even bigger (tunnel) tent (sleeps 8) with electric hook-up, camp beds etc and finally with a 4 berth and back to basics.
Anymore tips??? Keep them coming! :rotfl:0
