Hi All
Lazy day here, still recovering from the excesses of the wedding, all I've done today is 4 loads of washing & been to Asda for this month's shopping, spent just under £100 & hopefully it will last more than a month.
Hugs to all.
Hester

Been there got the tee shirt, please do not think the worst until they give you the rresults, I have had numerous lumps and bumps and all have been cysts.............I had an ultra sound and was told I had numerous cysts and unless they caused me problems they did not propose to do anything. Only 3 have been drained, and thank heavens it has been 10 years since the last one.
OH decided at lunch time that he did not feel '100%' so went to bed for an hour, lamb has been eaten tonight cold with salad rather than as a roast dinner.... he is fine again now. I am sure that he gets worked up and that seems to make the chest pain worse!!!!!!!!!!!!! However I am just not letting him wind me up and it seems to be working......... right now OH is doing a jigsaw on the dining table, I have just finished off a bottle of very nice rose we brought back from France............coffee and choccy mints to follow................
Did not manage to unpack those last 3 boxes, but I WILL DO THEM TOMORROW..................at last the apartment might look like home......
At least its not as hot as yesterday, for which I am truely grateful, there is a very nice breeze coming in through the window................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hello there,
We didn't get to the gold mine but went to some caves instead. It was really good to see. They can even do weddings in them. I wouldn't like to as the stone is all wet to walk on & drips of water fall on you.Got lost on the way home  but eventually got here.
Haribo Hope all goes well tomorrow & Frugal try and not to worry. Cysts are usually the cause.
Snowy What are togs?We swim in ours. Togs=bathing suits.
QueenieYou've lost me.
Blairweech I hope you manage to get your money back. That's way too much to just forget about.

Frugal - Huge ((HUGS)), i had a 'pea sized' lump about 7 years ago, and after many scans and examinations, they decided to remove it (too young for a mammogram, and they were pretty sure it wasnt to suspicious). It turned out to be a broad bean sized 'fibranoma' (sp), which was sent away and turned out to be completely harmless. Wont give you false hope, but you can see it could be so many different things, and i really hope all will be ok for you, at least they are seeing you quickly, so they will be able to keep on top of it.
Wow, many many thanks for all your kind replies and your hugs, I just wished I posted on Friday after seeing the Doctor and then I may not have been worrying so much over the weekend, I have not see a GP for 8 years, last time I went, he confirmed that I was expecting, and I honestly thought because of the appointment date being so quick, I immediately thought the worst, I thought the NHS waiting times were long, but now as I read Queenies post I feel a wee bit more reassured.
Catowen, If I remember correctly I think you are around the same age as me, (35) and you stated in your post that you were too young for a mammogram several years ago, does anyone know if I will get a mammogram or an ultra sound, and does it matter what size your breasts are for a mammogram, (i'm only a 32A, so hardly anything up top, as the GP said when he was examining me that it was quite small, but I think he meant the lump :rotfl:
I really cannot thank you all enough for your kind posts, I feel rather guilty at the fact that I don't post very often and then you all offer me such kindness, I do read the thread everyday and I think of each and everyone of you, PP, Queenie and your friend who is terminally ill, Shez, Catowen and many more. I feel much better and I have some making up to do with the OH, bless him - hes kept out my way today, I'm going for a bottle of wine after I've read the children a story.
FRUGAL0 -
Hi everyone!
Frugal Hugs to you. I know exactly how you feel I've been down that road a few times. I was 34 when I last had a lump and they did an ultrasound and stuck a needle in the lump, drew off fluid and I waited about an hour for the results, which were ok.
Queenie Broken toes are very painful! I've done it twice now, the first time playing football when I was 19 and a couple of years ago when I accidently kicked the bed. You could strap it up but I seem to remember walking on my heel for 2 weeks and keeping my foot up as much as I could.
I did read yesterday's thread but it was too late to post last night. Yesterday morning the 4 of us helped to clean up the area in front of out church parish hall. This involved 3 hours of picking up litter, leaves etc and trimming the trees. We were filthy and shattered after we'd finished and DH and I didn't do much for the rest of the day, although the kids spent the rest of the day playing out with their friends.
This morning we went to church and this afternoon I've been busy putting together some powerpoint presentations for next Sunday's church service for the vicar.
I also found time to read the Paul McKenna book 'Think Yourself Thin' and I listened to the CD. I lay on the bed for about 30 minutes listening to it and although it felt like I was asleep while it was on, as soon as he said 'Open your eyes' at the end, I did. So perhaps I was sort of 'hypnotised' and I have been very moderate in my eating since then. The kids left some of their tea and usually I attempt to finish it off but I didn't tonight....spooky! Watch this space, I'll tell you if I lose weight.
We had 'Le Croc Monsieur' for tea which is like a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with Bechamel sauce on and hm paprika oven chips. Lets see if I can stay away from the crisps and cakes tonight!
The girls have another week off school and I've swapped my work days so I'm off with them but DH is back tomorrow. It will make a change for him to get up first!
Have a good evening.0 -

When I went two and a half years ago (aged 40, but I was 33 the first time around), I got ultra sound and a mammogram. I'm quite small too, and it felt like they were pinching me - not painful, just uncomfortable for a short while. The didn't pick anything up on the ultra sound, though - perhaps he'd already popped it ... - and I had to have the mammogram again. They told me it's routine these days.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -

- it's a tad uncomfortable but certainly not painful.
You may or may not have an ultrasound - again, size won't matter
They are extremely speedy in these matters so don't become over anxious about that ... also, don't expect to be in and out of your hospital appointment within the hour! Even though they are speedy arranging the appointments, the fact is, many many women find lumps and few are cancerous, yet all need investigating! So, take a bookRemember, all the women in the waiting room will be feeling the same way you are.
Can't speak for your particular hospital, but in ours, the staff (male and female) were incredibly lovely and super efficient and (because this did somehow matter to me) all had a great sense of humour coupled with sensitivity.
Keep us posted Frugal, you are not alone ((hugs))
Busygirl - thank youI'm delighted to know I'm not the only silly sausage who broke a toe playing footie at some point in history!
The lads and I were having a chuckle last night when I told them about my (now 24yo son) who broke my fingers when we were playing balloons, but who one year later, broke his own foot "sweeping up feathers"
 Pain and a bit of readjusting isn't a biggie, but the chuckles over how they happen will be family tales to giggle over for a while to come yet
I just *know* d13yo will return to school tomorrow and almost "brag" to his peers .. "yeah, the old dinosaur tried to judo tackle me and mushed her toe!"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
