Morning all, what a lovely sunday.

I am just about to do some ironing. Trying not to think about the busy week that may lay ahead of me. However, sometimes it turns out not to be so bad.

Would have liked to have gone to a bootsale but my body was having none of it this morning so I lay in until 10.30!!

OH is trying to fix his car. Thinks it may be serious which is a mega pain because if it costs it will have to come out of the wedding ring fund:mad:

    Well enjoy Sunday everyone.

    Morning all............

QUEENIE; sorry to hear about your toe, a number of years ago I was walking downstairs with the laundry basket when I missed a step and fell head first down the rest of the stairs......... my big toe started to swell, OH went to the freezer and got an ice lolly out and strapped it to the side of my toe, I had to keep my foot up and the lolly had to go back in the freezer from time to time, but it helped, he then used the lolly stick as a splint and strapped my two toes together.

We had an event the next day for the garden we ran, thankfully I had a team who were able to see to cutting up cakes etc and I was able to sit on the till.

I had a pair of canvas shoes, they were the only ones I could get on for 2 weeks whilst the swelling and bruising went down, my foot was an interesting shade of red, purple and green................. I sympathise, I know how much it can hurt........hope its better soon.

We stayed up last night to watch a Taggart and a Morse neither of which we had seen before, so it was 1.30 before I got into bed, but a reasonable nights sleep.........breakfast in bed again, OH is getting stronger each day, this morning he has walked down and up one flight of stairs, although he is complaining of cramp, told him to take more salt........

I have put the lamb in to roast, its quite nice and cool just now, thought I would cook it before it gets too hot, can then carve it later and will cook roasties in the Romuska, rest of the veg in the steamer.......

There is a nice breeze blowing in the windows at the front, quite a bit of traffic, guess they are going to the boot sale in Tesco's carpark.

Nothing really planned for today, I have the book case in the hall empty now, so am thinking of emptying the last of the boxes in our bedroom onto them, will have to move them later when I sell the dresser, but thats not a problem, they usuallt stand on top of the sewing table so I can put out my hand and reach things as I need them.

I am going to join the grocery challenge, we have quite an overdraft to pay off after the move, so need to cut things to the bone, have put the £1.01 I saved on my Tesco delivery charge into the penny jar............having the stuff delivered worked quite well, am thinking of having the heavy stuff delivered and going for meat and veg myself, may not be able to get up to the £5 for £50 shop though.

I have never seem my fridge so full, hardly any room, but the top shelf is full of tins of fruit, I cannot get them in a cupboard just now.

Right I am off for a coffee.........the smell of the lamb is just begining to waft through, making me feel hungry................

Just a quickie as it is far too nice to be inside, short on in garden pottering, DS due home later (don't have a clue when he was out last nght celebrating the end of his finals so don't know what time or condition he was in but not answering phone yet!!)
Managed to make a hole in the holiday junk, but now fed up with that task, TBH feel more like sunbathing than anything else. DH pottering which he loves doing so probably better feed him first

    ((((hugs))) to all

    Afternoon

    lovely day here.

off to start painting my little pin board/drawer combo thingy I found dumped beside the bins. Might take some before and after photos. Also use the kid free time to paint the rest of my cheapo plant pots, so they look less cheapo.

Ironing due for tonight - but that's tonight so I won't think about it now.

Haribo - good luck with the hospital visit. I'll send good vibes across the Tyne (I'm on the south side of the river).

    Take care.

    Hello everybody :hello:

have managed to get about half way through reading todays thread - I havent managed it for a few days so hope I havent missed too much. (((HUGS))) to queenie for your poor toe :o and hugs for anybody else who needs them.

The weather has been really nice here and I need it to rain as my water butts need a re-fill. Got all the washing done and dried and will get a bit of ironing done later.
We have just had the nicest ( even if I do say so myself ) Sunday dinner and we are both flopped out on the sofa and chair :p I have also baked some chocolate crunchies and some more muffins - hopefully I will actually get some of them into the freezer and not into my stomach :D
DD is back to school tomorrow - her last term at this school as we have just found out that she has got a scholarship to go to dance & drama school ( my baby is leaving me :o ) we are so excited about this but we are going to miss each other so much, I dont know what Im going to do without her.
Ive got a couple of busy days interview wise ( fingers crossed ) got a first interview on Monday morning and an interview with a recruitment agency in the afternoon, then got a 2nd interview on Tuesday - hope I get an offer from the one on Tuesday ( fingers and toes crossed ). I have a bit of preperation to do for the interview so will get that done tonight.
DD is at dancing class soon so I think I will try to get the grass cut or maybe I will just enjoy the nice weather with my book ;)

have a great day everybody :j

Today I am off to pick himself up from the airport at 6ish then we have boked into a Glasgow hotel for the night as i have the dreaded hospital visit in Newcastle on Monday and it seemed sensible not to drive back up here tonight. We'll have a night in Newcastle to then back to Glasgow on Tuesday. OH is dropping me off as he will need to get back for the girls but as my new car will be ready to be picked up on Wednesday I am going to stay on my own in the big city. :D Confused?? Me too. :D:D

I will be thinking of you tomorrow haribo. I too have an hospital appointment, mine is at the Breast Care clinic, I went to the doctors on Friday with a small pee size lump, and after the Doc examined me he said "you don't need to go to the hospital today" and told me to wait in the waiting room whilst he made a phone call, when I got called back in, I was told I had an appointment for Monday 4th June, I haven't sleeped since Friday, keep crying and generally being a absolute b*tch to the children and to my OH, its the fear of the unknown and I am in tears again....

Anyway enough of my self pity, I hope you all are enjoying the lovely weather, hugs to anyone who needs one, take care

Frugal: I've had 2 breast scares. The first was totally harmless but painful, so I had the lump removed - they called it a breast mouse. The second was a small, pea-sized lump that got popped with the fine-needle biopsy needle. I'm not wishing to give you false hopes, but until/unless they tell you it's something sinister, try not to get upset about it. You could be getting upset all over nothing and the majority of cases are fine, with another majority of those being caught early enough being totally cured. {HUGS} - I know how you're feeling, really I do.

Frugal - same here mine was harmless, but they react immediately to all even if they think they are harmless "just in case". They usually know once you get to the clinic, so please try to stay calm, I know its hard.
