Morning All!
Queenie - (((hugs))) to J & A, it is the visits that make a difference and matter for both of them (I am learning) my friend also makes cards for family and friends and it is something that keeps her going and gives her focus, the rest of us just keep her going with craft materials! Glad your toe is a bit better.
Bemuzzled - I love Norfolk even in the rain! Now I want to go back!
Kyle- OH posted the info off to you yesterday! Sorry it took that long!
Yellowmonkey - have a lovely time at the forest. We are off to visit friends and explore a local nature reserve today. There is a bit of local history in the area and I am hoping to get a booklet about it from the information centre for my aunt in Savannah. Really looking forward to this.
Got quite a bit done on the garden yesterday but it has just highlighted all there is still to do!
Have a lovely day!

Goodmorning everyone,
Bit overcast and drizzly here this morning. Won't really matter for us as we're going to a gold mine which is underground. Sounds exciting hey, DH is beside himself with anticipaiton.
Had an awful night's sleep again. For the last couple of months I wake up hot, then throw everything off, then get cold again. This is repeated a million times. Have got the eggs onto boil to make egg sandwiches to pack. Being a heathen today and not going to Mass.
Hope you all have a nice day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi everyone!
Hope the toe improves soon Queenie. You'll have to find lots of things to do sitting down.....hmmm let me think....that'll be cross stitch, reading, card making...there you go I've given you the perfect excuse to delegate all your OS tasks in favour of your OS crafts!!
London yesterday was perfect. My thrifty friend gave me a good trip for the train...a price buster ticket which excludes the tube. The 3 of us got up there for £22 much cheaper than I've usually paid. They only charged £1 for the small person. Result!!
The chaps loved the views from the London Eye whilst I was very happy people watching and reading my book. We walked 6 miles and took in loads of sights. I saw the Globe for the first time and other places that I haven't seen since I was a child.
More mundane day today. I've put the washing on and sorted out the dry load from yesterday. Have some plants and seeds to do later which I shall be fine with once I get going! Also need to get the ironing done so that everything's ready for tomorrow and back to school and hope to get some elderflowers to make some of Hugh F-W's cordial. Think that should keep me out of mischief!

Morning all, hope everyone is well, hugs to those who need/want one today.
Bit of an early one for me, DP woke the kids when he was getting up, well actually his alarm woke DS2 up and not him so he went down to wake him as he was on sofa :rotfl: DS2 wet bed again last night so was in with me so his sheets now in wash. Thankfully nice here so far so might get them dry before the rain comes. DS1 watching Steve Urwin, DS2 winding the dogs up, he's woke up a little too full of energy!
Just realised I've done a daft thing, again, Ebay items selling end the Friday before we go on holiday, can see me having to take parcels with me again and post when we get there, why don't I learn? I did the same last year!
Rest of the day lots to do, so best crack on with it.One day I might be more organised...........

Morning everyone
Queenie, I see you spotted that it's the 3rd today - wish I knew how to change the title of the thread too, after some of the blunders I have made in the past. I'm sure a board guide will be along soon to fix it.
It's wet and horrible here today - how annoying! Friday was glorious sunshine, yesterday was overcast and cold, today yeuk, tomorrow is forecast as overcast and cold, and Tuesday is due to be glorious sunshine.. lol, what is it about wet weekends???
I got quite a bit of washing done yesterday - currently hanging around the house getting in the way - and have more to do today, including bed linen, sigh.
Think I will go shopping today, though my pain threshold in the shops is around 30 minutes before I feel the need to beat a retreat to the peace of my home. I'm looking for a new duvet and fancy a browse in T.K.Maxx. Unfortunately none of the big shops open until after midday on a Sunday over here, so I've a bit of hanging around to do before I set off. Maybe I should fit in some cleaning.
AussieLass, sounds like your duvet is a few togs too high for you.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning everyone. Bright and sunny here in Yorkshire. Having a great tiem with my sister and her children. She let on yesterday that she loves mowing lawns :j (she lives in a flat, so doesn't often get the chance). She did a great job :T We then ate tea outside, and she and I sat out into the evening putting the world to rights
Making banana and chocolate muffins, welshcakes and drop scones for breakfast. May eat outside again - no sweeping up then!
We're off into York today to put them onto the train. Will possibly go into Jorvik first, unless the small people want to stay outside in the sunshine.
We then need to get back as DD has homework to finish, and then bags to get ready for tomorrow.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
There's vouchers for free child entry for Jorvik on the Dayoutuk website PP if you need them, I have never taken my boys there but intend to this or next year, I remember going as a child and thought it was amazing.
I think we're going to have one of 'those days' here today, children doing their best to test my patience, only 8.30am, can see it being a longggg day, might clear the car out first and take the dogs somewhere else with them to get out for a bit, think they are bored. One day I might be more organised...........

Morning all.
Queenie hope your toes gets better soon, Hugs to crazychick have you found it yet? Hope so.
Well sorry n0eave but it is beautiful and sunny here not a cloud in the sky, WM on.
It was hot and sunny here yesterday too so much so me and dh both got burnt.
So at presentation night last night when he got up on stage he looked like a big red beetroot, i was laughing about it with the managers wife when they called me and her up on stage!!!!! 350 people there i just wanted the floor to open up, so off we went and were presented with a huge bunch of flowers and a envelope ( with money in!) for our support and help in running the team.Bless them he kept that one quiet!!!
Ds3 won the Supporters player of the year, he was over the moon and 2 of the local football team players( Chesterfield FC.) were there to give the awards out which he was thrilled about.
We had a lovely night and the kids really enjoyed it, got our own back on dh getting me up on stage when they were called to be presented with shirts that match the kids kits, we had done a collection from the parents a few weeks before, he is well impressed as he collects football shirts only the more unheared of the team the better, he has over 60 now!!!!
So todays plans are, 2 loads of washing to be done, try and finish wall on the patio, do abit of shopping, and chill in the sun.Kids not back at school until tuesday so will let them have one more lateish night then back into routine.
Have a great day everyone

Good Morning All
Meant to be sunny here today but no sign of it yet. Have fingers crossed though as have neices party to go to which will be in the garden.
Had a lazy one so far this morning but need to get a move on now, just one load of washing to do,dw to empty and wipe kitchen down. Then sweep kitchen floor and wash.
Will also do my small pile of ironing yipee. This week going to try and get in routines with things, may even look on the flylady thread though dont think im really up to that yet.
Yesterday I sold my first item on ebay - am sadly excited about receiving the payment and posting it off. Lots of items to be listed again this week.
Anyway best get on, will have a quick mooch around mse whilst I finish my tea then will get my bum in gear.
Have a great day.0
