Retweet comps

Curious to know what others think. I've read two differing opinions on whether to use the automatic retweet button, or to manually do it (i.e. typing RT and their @name as a new tweet). Some say manual ones are more likely to get noticed, but others seem to think that is rude twitter etiquette.

Anyone know if it makes any difference - and if its ok just to carry on with the automatic method?

i tend to do both if i have time but when i first started i just used the normal retweet option and remember winning more then than i do now so id say just choose to do it however and good luck with what ever you choose

i just press the retweet button, or do it through twitaculous and seem to be doing ok, the latest win being a bulmers hamper last week x

I've been hitting the retweet button for nearly a year and I've never won a single twitter comp despite having entered thousands. Maybe I should try the other way :rotfl:

When I'm asked to retweet I just hit the 'retweet' button and that's it.

Sometimes you have to retweet AND do your own tweet but that's not often.
If the comp just says 'follow and rt' that's all I do.

I've had about 6 wins from twitter already so I must be doing something right!
