ElphabaThropp DH would agree with you that as long as the bills are paid a treat now and then does you good and I agree (though can sometimes get into a bit of panic when spending £)
So today turned into a spend daytook the kids to the local park which was free but there was some activity's on like archery, horse rides that cost a couple of £ so the kids had a shot on this. The weather was great again today.
Then bumped into some friends who suggested trying out a new restaurant for dinner. The meal was lovely and the restaurant had an outside dinning area over looking a pond so we sat out there and the kids ran about on the grass between courses. The price worked out about £10 a head including drinks so spent around £40 which is actually very good given the quality of the food.
Should sleep well again tonight although this morning I woke up feeling very dizzy.
Tomorrow the plan is to do very little though will need to nip to the shops for some food I think.0 -
Had another lovely day yesterday but again it was a spend day
Replaced our old BBQ with a new one @ £35.
Also spent a fair bit of my grocery money as well but will need to look out my receipts to check but was just under £40.
The last few days have taken it our of me and I am struggling with my Fibro today.
Working tues/wed this week so just relaxing today will be heading up to bed to read my book for a while soon as struggling to keep upright today.
Dinner will be toasties and salad nice and easy.0 -
I am done in but finished work for the week :j:j
Next week working tues/wed again.
I am afraid my spends have run away with me again :mad::mad::mad:
Need to find time to sit down and have a serious look at everything.
Wont be this week while I am off as I forgot we were away this weekend with friends at a cottage they are staying at. Weather where they are is very nice (nicer than here though it is still nice here) so will need to organise ourselves for going away.
Dinner is a mixture of things I found in the freezer along with a nice glass of wine0 -
:mad::mad: Just opened the post and we have £20 in OD charges to pay :mad::mad:
Our account t&C changed in may and I knew there were changes to OD charges but I never took much notice since we don't realy go into our OD and when we do it's done to not being organised enough to move money around.
Next Thursday really is the first free chance I will have to focus on the money side of things but I really need to sort it damn waste paying these charges.
Right dinner almost ready.0 -

- [STRIKE]do dishes[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]sweep/clean kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
- hoover
- dust
- iron - will find a movie later to watch.

I have been lurking on MSE boards for months now, but when I read your posts I could identify with you in regards to the Fibro. A few years ago I went to a GP who was also into alternative medicine, the three main things he told me to avoid or give up totally were alcohol, sugar and coffee, he also told me to take magnesium malate.Stashbusting 2015 6/23 :j0

Hi there future is bright. Sorry to hear you also have Fibro it is a horrible condition.
Although the Dr who first diagnosed me with it was great there was no advice given about what foods I might be better giving up and it was a chiropractor who told me about magnesium. Sadly I am as disorganised with taking this as I am with the rest of my life
Still this lovely weather is certainly making a diff to my pain (though I still have some off days).0 -
Hope you're enjoying your day off and resting a bit! I find it takes it out of me twice as quickly when its so hot. I'm currently holed up in my study as it is the coolest room in the house
.
Don't beat yourself up about the finances, you've let things get a little out of hand so time to rein it in again. In the past I've behaved like I did on a diet, if I ruined it the whole thing was a failure and I may as well blow it. I'm trying to get out of such poor habits and learn to dust myself off and start again.
We'll get organised one step at a time. xx£10781.62 by 23/04/2014 :rudolf:

Getting my own life before my parents change the locks. :T0 -
Thanks ElphabaThropp, I am sure one day we will be super organised.
So ended up going to a friends today, sat around chatting inside though as it was hot hot hot.
Kids and I are having microwave meals tonight as we are away at the weekend at our friends rented cottage. Looking forward to it though as it will be nice to get away.
Put £50 in the car so hopefully that should last the weekend. Plan is to nip to Lidl in the morning to get a few things then hit the road early before it gets too hot.
When I get back I am working tues/wed again so doubt I will have anytime to get online.
Before I go though I need to update sig as a few bills came this morning.0 -
Shhhhh I am at work and shouldn't be on here. I started at 6am this morning :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: (was asked yesterday if I could work an early shift) so I am half way through my day already :T
Weekend was good but spent too much  still apparently it is pay day :j so will need to check my bank later and see how much I am getting a month.
Will be back later as I have so many ideas and I need somewhere to put them down.0
