I've decided to pack in comping with them at all. I think they are definitely pushing their luck, and I'm pretty sure a fair few of them are, if not scams, then at least dodgy.

Also myself and others recently have been having to authorise the application every single time you enter. I've given them up entirely as a bad job tbh

I must admit, I don't enter their comps as I have heard rumours that many of their comps are scams. BUT I have also heard of MSEer's winning via them. I still don't enter them though as I don't agree to their 'terms'.

Funny how this got posted today

I have just had a tweet saying I have won a compost bin from competwition (my first competwition win) for Compost Awareness Week which I am very pleased about because Portsmouth council don't have a green waste collection scheme.

I don't think there is anything 'sinister' about what they want to access. They need to know if you have 'followed' or 'tweeted' already so they can tell if you already entered. No different to @TwitNinjaCom or @Twitaculous as far as I can see.
I agree some of the comps have been a bit dodgy but they are just a vehicle to promote?

I' more wary of comps posted on there by individuals, company comps don't worry me to much.

I won 2 competwition's and never received the prizes, their are however some winners on here as above, just pick the legit companies that you know of.

Some of them do appear to be a bit dodgy... however I have had 2 wins on them and have been fine

Have won quite a few with them latest one was today, never had a single problem with them, they have never spammed my friends or my feed, but I do check out the company/person before entering.
