    Hi all,

Well I had my second consultation yesterday. They want to keep me 'until the end' that being the 6th September 2013.

On the plus side that does mean another 2 months of pay, plus my redundancy plus 4.5 days holiday I won't be using until then.

I have been sending my CV out to companies, using the contacts I have to see if they can help and applying for jobs that I find online. It's a hard process, but at least I have a few more months of breathing space.

Other than that, that's about it really. Oh, and I am DEFINITELY starting my diet tomorrow! I'm going to be a bridesmaid in September so I need to loose some flab!

Everything! Timelines, especially for purchase because ours feels like its taking forever. Offer made mid May, still haven't had anything other than the memorandum from the EA! Frustrating and a bit worrying too. Sold ours mega quick so living with my parents, so need to be able to see the light:rotfl:

Well, we had our offer accepted in March and it took 9 weeks to get the keys. The seller didn't do anything for 3 weeks and then Nationwide dragged their feet getting our mortgage sorted.

The worst thing with ours is that it didn't go SSTC until we exchanged so had to keep fighting off other buyers!

As long as you're doing everything you can, there's nothing more you can do I'm afraid. Just keep in contact with your solicitor. We had an online one (seller said to go with them as it would be quicker, which it wasn't but not the solicitors fault) and they were fantastic. Could keep track of progress online and submit all my paperwork electronically so it was quick and easy.

I won't be able to do too much exercise tomorrow as a friend is popping round, but we will be walking to the restaurant for dinner so that helps! Cycling 17 miles on Sunday though to compensate!

Ah you are so nice! I've been around but not as intensively as before because I've been so busy at work! I would occasionally read a few posts but that was all.

I've had an intense academic year, have made some changes that will start in September, now live alone with my cat as my DD and her BF has moved out and am in the process of redecorating the whole flat. And I made a very big (for me) decision and bought a brand new car! So I've put myself back in debt ;) But it's a necessary debt.

    Voila!

    Hi All,

Sorry for my very late response and total lack of updating this!

January - Congrats on the new car and finally having your flat to yourself! What car have you got? I assume you got it at a bargain price thanks to your MS ways :money: What are the first things you are going to do to your flat? I vaguely remember you mentioning a new kitchen?

What's new with me? Well, I only went and got myself a job! I start on August 12th :j The freelance work didn't pan out in which I was (and still am) gutted about :( However, this new job is with a huge company, less money than I was on and not the added benefits of a car, but it's only 3.2 miles away from my house. Also means in my spare time I can work on my own business :)

AND best of all, I get all my redundancy money too! :T My plan is to use some of it towards my student loan so, bar the money I owe my money, I will be debt free before I'm 30 which is what I wanted. I could potentially pay her back all that money too which is good, but I want to be debt free to the 'establishments' first.

Other than that, that's about it really. Our old house is going through the motions of finally being sold, so we're just tieing up some loose ends so that (hopefully) should be complete in the next few weeks as we need that money!

Hope everyone else is doing good
