Photo's Question..........

Not sure this is the right place to post this, so if it's wrong please move.

I saw a make over programme on tv where they took some old photo's, and sent them by e-mail to somewhere where they were turned into large photos, framed and everything, (all done on the net), or you could have them put onto fabric, has anyone any info on web-sites etc or similar.
Thanks.......

    Hi there,

Epson periodically do a free print sample up to A2 size if you provide the photo in digital format (scan if not on file). The link is here.

    http://www.epson.co.uk/4000sample/

They allow you to choose the paper you wish to use with canvas as an option, however you need to watch the quality in pixel size, however the better quality the scan then the larger the file. You also need to send them the image on CD with a dedictaed reference number.

I recently got a photo blown up by them to A2 size (was actually about twice the length of A2, its the width that they go by), of a Thunder and lightning storm that I took recently on my camera, which came out amazing. Only took a couple of weeks for delivery aswell.

    HTH

P.s. I dont think there would be any great harm in requesting a second photo at an alt. address, i.e one for parents etc. (one per household)

Are you meaning that they turned old photos into really really large photos? I have a feeling I saw something like this on a programme called "Sixty Minute Makeover".

You could look at their website http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=2030 which leads you through all the makeovers they have done and the suppliers they have used.
