I won but have'nt won...

Thanks to Laks for posting the below comp https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4491993

It was to win a photographer for your wedding worth a £1000. I entered and was thrilled to get an email telling me I had won (I get married in August). However, the people running the comp wanted me to pay petrol costs from Hampshire and two nights accommodation for both photographers. It would cost about £400 so sadly I have had to decline. Im a very disappointed. I did ask if there was anyway we could negotiate on the terms but they said no. :(
Oh well onwards and upwards.
Best Wins - Delonghi Coffee Machine x 2, £250 Love to Shop Vouchers, Champneys overnight stay, Sony TV, Festool Drill, Quilting table, Tablet, Android gadget bundle, ikettle, wedding photograph and favours, Rowan wool hamper

Oh no, what a pity:( Must admit I'm a one for not reading the T&C's so probably one day this sort of thing will happen to me.

Hope you win something else soon xx

That doesn't sound right.... does it state those conditions in the T&C's?

Yes unfortunately it does say in the T&C

Prize winners whose wedding venues are within 40 miles of Farnborough, Hampshire, England can claim their prize without expense. Prize winners with venues outside of this area will be asked to contribute to travel expenses - petrol @50p/mile for each mile above 40 miles, and accommodation, when the wedding venue is more than 125 miles from Farnborough, Hampshire.

Shame really as it's not something you might notice when entering a comp especially one on facebook.
