What Would You Do With £15,000 If You Weren't In Debt?

There is sometimes too much happiness on this board so I thought it time we had a nice depressing thread. :D

I've just hit the barrier of paying off over £15,000 of my debt now and am sat here wondering what I could of spent that money on! :think:

So far I've come up with;

More car mats. :rotfl:
Prostitutes.
Football stickers.

And not necessarily in that order! :p

But seriously, if you weren't in debt, and had £15k to blow on anything you wanted, what would it be? :)

    Put it towards a mortgage for our own house instead of throwing money down the drain by renting

    Not so much a blowing as we really could do with one! But a bigger car we have an Astra and are a family of 5 where Dad is 6ft 5 so we could all do with more leg room!

    Double glazing and erm paint the outside of the house trouble is then we would need a burglar alarm as it would look like we had things worth pinching and now it doesnt lol!

    See how these purchases all snowball onto needing more!!!

    I would take my family on a six week holiday to Peru and Bolivia.

    The rest, I'd save for my children's future university education.

    I used to travel lots when I was younger and it really really hurts me to walk past travel agents and see ads in the window for fantastic holidays - then realise that they cost the same as I spent in a month on debt repayments.

  • I would spend £1000 on our VW camper getting her ship shape and mechanically sound as you can a 30 year old vehicle.

    Would take my girls to Disneyland in Florida.

    Take my OH for a daft holiday to somewhere exotic.

    Then I would put what is left in a High savings account and look and smile!
