How reliable is an AIP from Nationwide

Any ideas how reliable nationwide AIPs are?

    As reliable as those of most other lenders who undertake a full credit search at agreement in principle stage.

    Best described as, "not the Halifax" in these circumstances.

    Thanks. Originally did an AIP with halifax but then with nationwide to be sure.

    Its about as much good as a chocolate fire guard!

    We had a DIP from the nationwide full credit check etc and then a decline at full application

    Nothing but trouble at the moment

    We had an AIP from nationwide, I was quite happy they did a credit check to start. As long as you know your happy with them you can start sending docs straight away to speed up the process later too. Very happy with NW up to now. We are just waiting for the formal offer to arrive in the post.

    My case has been sent to the ifa business manager to take to a senior underwriter to see if anything can be done!

    I really am not sure how my credit score can be bad!

    But you must have been given some sort of clear indication why.

    did you obtain copies of your credit report beforehand?

    Did they tell you if your job status is eligible for one of their mortgages?

    Yeah credit report is fine never missed a payment or anything low level of debt

    Yeah my job is fine I am a Microbiologist for the local trust
