Your thread has given me hope taxi hun.

My DD isnt being very nice at the moment - she's 11 and it's a mixture of exam pressure (SATS) and hormones.

Heres hoping that theres light at the end of the tunnel and she turns out as nice as your daughter

    Hi Taxi,

Hope you enjoyed your day. Your thread inspired me to make a nice card for my mum and pop it in the post with a couple of really nice Lancome samples I was going to put on eBay. She's not having a great time at the moment so I thought it would be nice to try and cheer her up. She lives miles away from me so I won't see her until August and although we talk on the phone, it's not the same, is it?

Thank you (and your daughter) for reminding me to look after my mum :)

Glad you had a lovely day taxi and really glad your DD bought something for your sweetheart of a hubby too. You know we all think he's a diamond! :)

    Enjoy your new nails!

I'm with you there spud, my son is also doing SATS this week, and the mixture of that and his sisters hormones is causing a little stress in the hypno house (as if we didn't have enough already :rotfl: )

Aww that's so lovely! My eldest daughter (15) looks at me with contempt whilst straightening her hair at the moment so don't think I'll be in your position for a few years yet!!

There's hope for you all yet as DD was a nightmare teenager ....from 11-17 she was a horror....and I mean bad as in clubbing and experimenting with drugs...you wouldn't believe it now...we have had tough times with her but to be honest a murder of a close relative really started it

Well, how are you doing with the glam nails? When I used to get mine done I'd find myself holding my hands quite differently so I could keep admiring them! Glad you enjoyed the pampering!

Goodness taxi, the murder of your relative must have been a terrible experience for all of you.

I'm so glad to hear that awful teenagers can turn into lovely young women. I will hold your daughter in my head to reassure me when mine behave like Kevin the teenager.
