Hi everyone
Would be very grateful on getting some advice on getting a mortgage. Here is my spec:
Emplyment status - Self Ltd company (6 months old) - 90k equiv a year. - full working history - no breaks between jobs.
Credit status - 1 default - 5 years old for £500, current experian score is 990 - so excellent.
I have recently cancelled my overdraft which was 2.5k. I also have 2 credit cards - 1 limit of 9k which has about £100 on it and another with a 15k limit with 5k on it.
Would liek to borrow 300k - have access to around 40k.
I applied through Virgin money in Jan but got rejected....
Is there anything I can do? I'm currently paying £1400 amonth in rent and have been for years now, but know this should be goibng in to a mortgage. Can afford £1800 a month mortgage.
Is there any other info you need?

How many clients do you work for, one specific large contract or many smallers clients?
This is going to be really tough going, once you put in your first years accounts (and the default drops off) the world will become easier...I am a Mortgage Broker

I work for 1 client at the moment.

Then dependent how billing/invoicing is done, you may find yourself better off being deemed as a contractor.
Deposit and historic adverse credit will restrict this marketplace a fair bit...
Worthwhile getting all of your credit files; Experian, Equifax and Call Credit - just the £2 versions..I am a Mortgage Broker
