Right, you know the deal, I'm trying to propose to my girlfriend. I've started other posts about this, but i'm now playing with the option of proposing in London. It's not my ideal place, but it fits with my limited time-constraints, plus we're going to see a show in London in a couple of weeks - I can use this as a means of getting her into town earlier in the day under the female friendly pretense of shopping.
So, London. Its a big place full of lots of cool places. Proposals in the London Eye are overdone - I don't want to propose over a picnic in Hyde park either. Considering I live in the place, I'm sure there's bits that are scenic that I don't know about. The rules of engagement are: No 'making a scene' - she hates that, spending some money on doing it fancy is a good idea, budget can be up to 600 pounds.
Suggestion are needed!

What about a impromptu wander up Hatton Garden, home of the engagement ring:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

Well I disagree that the London Eye is over rated! My fiance asked me there last September and it was as if no-one else was even there. To be honest I bet she won't really care WHERE you ask her as longas you are both in love and want to get married.

Ringo.. if you want to be a star don't do it fancy do it romantically. meet her from work when she has had a crappy day and say I love you I want to marry you. When she says yes then take her somewhere special to celebrate!! Her choice always works best! Good luck. over the top can sometimes be over kill!!0

On a Sunday they do a fantastic Champagne Brunch which is really great value for money, it's romantic and quirky.
