IVA's -need debt advice

Anyone know where i can get good advice about clearing debts and how to get an IVA-would you have to go to court. is the National Debt help line any good. I'm not in Debt myself, but need some advice to help someone out.

The person in debt should contact CCCS or Payplan to discuss their debt and be talked through the best options for them.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345 :eek: :eek: :eek:
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.

I've contacted the national debtline and found them very helpful. All info is confidentail as well.
