Old jobs re hashed on UJM site

Options
I have just done a serach for the last 3 days and found loads of jobs dated 30th Jan but when I click on the job they seem to have been posted on 29th DECEMBER!!

These are all by third party sites with links to other sites where the jobs are even older.

How can the UJM people say this site is up to date with the latest jobs when they are all over a month old! It's a joke!

Like this one

says 30th Jan on the search results but job posted on 29th December

https://jobsearch.direct.gov.uk/GetJob.aspx?JobID=942908&JobTitle=Accounts+Assistant%2fBookkeeper&q=ledger&where=ig11+7qd&rad=10&rad_units=miles&pp=25&sort=rv.dt.di&vw=b&re=134&setype=2&tm=3&AVSDM=

then you hit another link to tak you here
http://www.cv-library.co.uk/cgi-bin/view-job.cgi?jobref=101372260&s=100071 and that was posted on the 7th January!

What a !!!! up!

  • Oh God, this Universal Job Match is really the shambles.
Since it's been run by Monster or whoever, it appears to have been spammed by (Job Warehouse)
Please be careful, I even hear that sometime it asks for £39.95 to submit an application.
This site was one of the last places without all of these spammers and now it's opened to everyone, it's gone to pieces

I told my advisor and her reply was 'Oh I will tell I.T about it'

    So many people are complaining!!

I mentioned it to my advisor and she didn't have a clue about these spammers. So either playing dumb, or not visiting the website herself, which for a job centre advisor, I find hard to believe.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

these are not spammers they are real jobs just all re advertised on the UJM and they are not new at all. Its lies the UJM are posting on there with new dates.

I bet no one at the UJM site even looks or notices this!

    Likewise.
I told my advisor UJM had been taken over by Agencies and she looked really surprised. I told her finding an actual existing job has become a bloody nightmare!

As good as. Job ad recycling and other job websites fishing for members don't actually help anyone to get a job. They just serve to fuel the governments "There are plenty of jobs, you're all just too lazy to try so we're going to cut benefits" BS.

Many of the adverts from these external sites ARE placed by agencies - in my local area the jobs posted by CV Library are all being advertised by agencies that do not exist in my area at all. Convenient don't you think?

Thats the next big money maker - setup a job site. You get free unlimited advertising by a government that never takes sides or promotes any private company over another :D

Complaints should be directed, in writing, through your MP.

all of these 3rd party adverts are there as the DWP/JC allow them to be as its free and no one is checking the quality of the jobs

    OR

All real companies have seen how c r a p the new site is and decided NOT to post on in therefore they - maybe the DWP are posting these adverts to make the site look like its working as there are lots of jobs there that when you look more closely may be real jobs but all over a month old when the UJM post says they are within 2 days!!
