Please note that CantBeatFree is no longer operating. Information about this can be found HERE (thanks, Cally).
I am leaving this information here as an archive, but obviously I do not recommend anyone use the site anymore.
There is info on making money on other PTC/GPT sites on the multi-sites earning thread, including my favourite, Neobux.
Hello fellow moneysavers :hello:
Thought it would be useful to start a thread for cantbeatfree.net (CBF), a GPT (Get Paid To...) site that is similar to Swagbucks.
The purpose of this thread is the same as the Swagging thread--to alert others of offers/tasks/etc--but on CBF instead of Swagbucks.
Let me start by saying that I love Swagbucks, but I actively do both CBF and Swagbucks daily. CBF has offers, tasks and videos that Swagbucks doesn't, plus CBF pays better for certain things, including tasks and many videos.
I set a personal goal for myself to earn an average of 100 CBF points per day. That means in 16.5 days, I can redeem 1650 points for a £12-ish (US$20) Paypal payment, which is almost £24/month. This is in addition to what I earn on Swagbucks.
Here are some reasons why to consider adding CBF to your daily routine
1. Great payout ratio
CBF pays better than Swagbucks for certain things, because a CBF point is worth more than a Swagbuck:
CBF: 1000 points = £7.50 ($12) in Paypal cash (1650 points=$20)
This rate is available to VIP members. How to become a VIP? Once you reach 2450 points and redeem it for $25 Paypal, you become a VIP member permanently. The point-to-pence ratio for that first redemption is 1000 points=£6.30 ($10.20).
Swagbucks: 1000 SB = £5.89 in Amazon vouchers (849SB=£5), or £5 in Paypal cash (1999SB=£10)
2. Quick payout
CBF pays out very quickly. You usually have the money in your Paypal account within a few hours (or next day), Swagbucks payments typically take about a week.
3. Tasks pay more
These are the Crowdflower Tasks, available in both CBF and Swagbucks. They are accessible in CBF from the "Offerwall" area, click on Crowdflower. Tasks pay the same number of points on CBF vs Swagbucks, but because CBF points are worth more, the tasks pay more. For example, if you do ten 4-point tasks, that is worth 30p (Paypal) on CBF vs 23.6p (Amazon) or 20p (Paypal) on Swagbucks.
4. Lots of tasks available
CBF has lots of tasks, including many that Swagbucks doesn't have. Three recent examples:
* TripAdvisor task: look up 5 hotel URLs on TripAdvisor, and copy them to task page, pays 4 points. Thousands available, and you can do the task multiple times.
* "Ryanair" task: look up 10 fares on Ryanair website for 4 points. Thousands of tasks available, and you can do the task again and again.
* Attitudes survey: 10 minute survey on sexist language for 20 points.
5. Videos often worth more
As with the tasks, if a video pays the same in CBF points as SB, it's worth more (sometimes videos are worth more points on Swagbucks though, so be aware of that).
6. More videos available
CBF has videos that Swagbucks doesn't, namely the Virool ones. Different Virool videos are usually available throughout the day. Typically they're Youtube videos.
7. Jackpot
CBF has a Jackpot, when you complete tasks/videos/offers you automatically get entries into the Jackpot, the more you do, the more entries you get. I get this regularly, several times a week.
8. Offers
CBF has offer walls (and therefore offers) that Swagbucks doesn't, eg. Matomy and SuperRewards. It also has some of the same offer walls that Swagbucks does have, but I've noticed that sometimes more offers show for a particular wall on CBF vs Swagbucks. As for the same offer on the same wall, they are usually worth more on Swagbucks, though not always.
9. Daily survey
There is a daily survey on CBF called the "Daily Global Survey Router", worth 50 points. You access it by clicking on the Offerwall, then on the "Can'tBeatFree.net" icon. This will bring you to a page with a list of offers, how much they are worth, how long it takes the offer to credit, and when it was last credited. **Take note of the "Submit" button, because after you have finished the survey, you must click "Submit" in order to register completion.** To access the survey, click the title "Daily Global Survey Router" and do the survey. Don't forget after you've finished the survey, to go back and click the "Submit" button. The offer is then added to your pending list and points should be credited soon thereafter (mine took about 5 minutes).
Those are the main ways (I've found) to earn on CBF. Any and all comments, questions and tips welcome!

Here are a few tips for the Crowdflower tasks found on CBF. Some (though not all) of these tasks are also found on Swagbucks and other GPT sites.
Some Crowdflower tasks ask you do to a ridiculous amount of work for very few points. Pages and pages, even! Other tasks are full of errors, and mark your answers wrong even when they're right. Which obviously is really annoying.
Other tasks are relatively quick and painless.
The repeating tasks I've found most worth doing:
1. Casino tasks: 4 points
These come out each evening at approximately 11:45pm and usually are released over the course of about an hour. Great if you are a night owl! They are titled in this format:
Answer a few questions about a website (United Kingdom - Thursday task #15) (UK Only)
These tasks are both great and annoying. Great because they're quick and easy; annoying because they're often gone by the time you click on them, even if you sit there for an hour refreshing the page! Though having said that, I usually manage about 15 of these a day (there are 27 released).
If you aren't a night owl, you should still be able to do a few of these in the morning, as some are still available then. (Maybe someone who does that can say what time they do them and how many are still available by morning.)
**At the moment, Tasks #1 and #10 are broken... either the site they ask you to find isn't in the search results, or else the system doesn't recognise that you've visited the website and you can't submit the task.**
2. World Transformation tasks: 0.4 to 0.8 points
These ones don't pay much, but several similar tasks are released all at once, and they are quick and easy. They have several different titles:
Quick site description review and opinion
Feedback on a site preview
Site review and fast opinion
Perform a quick page review and provide feedback on it
Fast Site Review and Feedback
Website review (fast) and brief survey
ETC! Each one seems to have a slightly different title, but the tasks are very similar.
For this task, you do a google search and look for a specific result for the World Transformation Centre. You are asked two easy questions (the ranking of the result, i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd); and the summary from the search (a cut-and-paste job). You then click on the link and answer a simple question from the website (to make sure that you actually do click on the link).
3. TripAdvisor task: 3 points
Look up 5 hotel URLs on TripAdvisor, and copy them to task page. They give you the search link, so it's a pretty quick task. Thousands available, and you can do the task multiple times. (The first time I saw this task, it paid 4 points per 5 URLs, now it pays 3 points.)
NOTE: you must change the ".co.uk" in the hotel URL to ".com" or else the system will mark it wrong.R.I.P. Bart. The best cat there ever was. :sad:0 -

I just signed up to this and received my confirmation email with the activation code. However, the email is from jeremiah@americancivilwargame.com which seems quite suspicious to me so I think I'll sit this one out...

Not sure what happened but I was doing one of the "mark articles as relevant/not relevant etc" task and the page suddenly refreshed to the main crowdflower website.
