Fluffpuff's Daydream Diary for 2013

Well considering we're still in 2012 I've been super organised in getting ready for the new year and all the plans I have. Me and my partner aren't in too much debt. Aside from my car on finance which I currently owe £4200 on, we have a total debt of £3770 which I would like to disappear within 6 months. Then we can start to save to buy our own house, our wedding and a nice little holiday and also to start my dreaded degree :o it just has to be done and it is going to cost a fortune! But hopefully I won't feel the pinch if the money has come from saving pennies elsewhere.

I've also piled on the pounds this year and want to get down to my usual weight of 8 stone 7. I weighed myself today and considering I've been scoffing like mad over the festive period I've actually lost 2lb taking me down to 10 stone :) so 22lb needs to be shifted before summer.

Today I have rang up equifax and cancelled my subscription saving me £8.99 a month and I have taken movies off Sky saving me £8 a month however I'm unhappy that Sky line rental has crept up to £14.50 and looking at the rest of the providers it looks like they'll be creeping up even more in January :( so at the moment I'm unsure which provider to change to unless I can haggle with Sky.

I've made £3.84 extra cash too so far which isn't much but I'm hoping each month I can get this up to £30 to make some extra payments towards our debts.

I've also convinced my partner to sell his car as we don't need two cars and he has agreed :j so whatever he sells it for which will be around the £500 mark we are going to pay off a debt.

I've joined the positive steps challenge, taking lunch to work challenge, pay off all your debts in 2013 and have been having a little tinkle on free bingo to see if I can make some extra bits and bobs. Doing the free bingo has kind of helped me to stop putting in the odd £5 thinking that its not that much so it won't matter, well it certainly mounts up! I've also stopped putting the lottery on saving us around £10 per week. I know OH keeps sneaking a ticket though! :D

So here's to living frugally, eating healthily, counting the pennies, losing the pounds and making sure every penny counts and stretches as far as it will go!
