Long Term Asset Form

Hi there,
My OH got sent a letter from the OR stating that her case will be transfered to the long term asset unit.
Now, since this was a personal bankruptcy and we had no assets, i am confused as to why this has been sent. Also it appears to be badly address, only stating Dear Mrs, and no surname.
Is this a normal thing, or should i ring the OR asap and inform them of their, what appears to be a big error,?
Thanks

"Following the introduction of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999, few pensions will now vest in the Official Receiver as trustee."
Source here which may give you some clues, otherwise do call and ask0 -

Also, does this delay ED at all. We have been told by OR that we will get ED in Feb ish....0

I've never heard of the "long term asset unit", perhaps it's a fancy new name for the RTLU. Quite a few are spooked (including me originally) when told your case was being transferred to the RTLU, but that was actually good news. It meant the OR had finished their investigation and the loose ends were passed to the "collection" department. It is odd if you had no assets.0

Thank you, i do think its a mistake. Will this delay ED or is it simply a case of box ticking to get ED in action?0

No idea, sorry.0 -
Spoke to OR office. Basically its standard practice if you have a NT IPA or an IPA. He said nowt to worry about and in short means that they have finished investigating and are happy.
No news though on how it affects ED, awaiting clarification.0
