Tech services uk limited

Hi there
I received an email saying that they had got my details from a jobsite(which will be true).
The job looks too good to be true. It also looks a bit like money laundering.
Has anybody seen this company and know if it is a scam

    The link you provided appears to be broken, but the website in general looks genuine enough.
  • I have also been approached by this company through job site, I am interested in finding out if you followed this though and if it is legitimate before I apply?

    Thx

    I would disagree with that.

    The website was registered in September, so is only a few months old and is registered to someone (probably fake details) in the Netherlands.

    They claim to be a company called "Tech Services UK Limited" - the only company of this name on the Companies House Register was dissolved in 2010.

    As you say, the link to the job is broken, but a quick search of their vacancies page shows this job http://techservices-uk-ltd.com/job/finance - no legitimate company would employ people to receive money into their personal bank/paypal accounts.

    @OP - the job is a scam - you would basically be involved in money laundering and when the individuals who are sending you money realise they are being scammed, it would be your door that the police would be knocking on
  • Companies house search for tech services uk:
    http://
    wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk
    //companysearch?disp=1&frfsh=1357858602&#result

    result = Disolved

    Scam
    Fake

    Great advice gb12345.

    I don't often post that type of response on any forum, but that really is going above and beyond for the OP.

    jthd75 - I'd approach them with the information you have here and ask for a response.

    Thanks :beer:

    I wouldn't bother approaching them - they are scammers, so they lie for a living. They will either try to convince you that they are legitimate and we are just trying to stop you taking the job of your dreams or they will accuse you of scamming them and threaten you with being reported to the police/NATO/UN or whatever pops into their minds. You might even get real lucky and get a (fake) email from said organisation telling you to take the job and how legitimate they are.

    Far better to just to cut them off - they will probably email/phone you a few times to try and persuade you, but will eventually move on to the next potential victim once it becomes apparent you aren't playing ball. Also be aware that your email is likely to be on a scammers list now, so you will likely get an increase in fake job offers and African diplomats offering you a share of $X MILLION.
