My son wanted a new Doctor Who toy the other day (he's saved up his pocket money bless him), and when we looked at them in Toys R Us, he looked at me very solemnly and said 'Shall we check if they're cheaper on eBay'. He's 6 years old!

My DD bumped into a famous footballer ( I had never heard of him and certainly couldnt spell his name :o ) anyway she asked him for an autograph which he gave her. Then the little darling came home and asked me to see how much she could get for it on Ebay :D

On a sadder note she asked if she could get a job the other day because I 'may' be made redundant on Thursday and she didnt want me to have to worry about money - I felt awful :( and it still makes me want to cry......

My husband offered my sons suit to his sister to Christen her son in this weekend-I meanwhile was madly gesturing over his head saying *don't! Sold it on eBay already!!*

Best bit is that MIL bought for oour son, she looked like THUNDER! lol!

Sorry to hear about your job, and I can understand why it would have upset you, but what a lovely daughter you must have raised, to ask such a sweet and thoughtful question.

I dunno, we raise them to be nice, then cry when they ARE!
