Todays prize DVD Boxset of Doc Martin

Follow Freeview and answer the following:- How many channels did Freeview launch with back in 2002.

Other people are adding the hash tag #Freeview10 so perhaps that should be included with answer.

Looking at Wiki I think it's 5 but not sure it's right as it's not many channels.

i went with 5 too after watching the video on there

30 TV channels according to http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2002/10_october/03/freeview_launchdate.shtml

30 according to http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/oct/30/freeview-10-years-young

(there were 8 channels from BBC, never mind anybody else)

ETA - looking a bit deeper there were 30 in Wales and 28 elsewhere. The "from 5 channels in 2002" I think refers to pre-freeview when only the main 5 analogue channels were available through an aerial
