Advice please - on a Morrison's win

Hi guys I've received this e-mail today and naturally I'm thrilled (as haven't won anything in months) but sadly we're in the process of moving house and have been clearing stuff out for the past month or so and honestly can't say I've kept any receipts especially dating that far back

Any ideas

You recently entered a competition on the Morrisons website and I am pleased to inform you that you have won one of the runner up prizes of a summer drinks kit.

As stated in the terms and conditions (see attached) in order to claim your prize I will require your proof of purchase of one of the above brands during the promotional period of 9th July 2012 - 5th August 2012 (receipt must be dated within this period) and also photographic ID to show that you are over the age of 18. If you could please either post your documentation to the below address (please ensure you take a photocopy of your receipt, just in case) or return this email with these items attached it would be appreciated. You are required to respond within 28 days to claim your prize from the date of this email, please could you also confirm your address of where the prize should be delivered.

I wouldn't keep receipts that long either.

All you can do is tell them what you have done. If that excludes you all you can do is put it down to experience unfortunately.

I've a feeling you may have won via a mop up draw of no claims received for prizes. I remember reading of winners in August.

It might be worth explaining about the move etc...

I won via a non claim on Mccoys comps (3d TV, 3d glasses and 12 month sub to ESPN. Luckily I keep all packs etc..... for ages past the end date, I'm a just in case girl

Which brands do you need? I shop in Morrisons every week and keep loads of receipts as I enter all the comps.

If it is the one you need a receipt for a bottle of rum etc I think I kept mine just in case. If it is let me know and will try to find it as may have got rid as end date passed.

Oh dear I have the same problem! I received the same email last night and never keep my receipts for that long either.
