FaceBook Blocked

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else here has had this happen to them. I have a facebook account in my real name to enter competitions.

I have been tempory blocked due to spamming?. Facebook think I am useing the site too much.

I know I will be able to use Facebook again to enter competitions once the block has been lifted, but I will be using the site the same afterwards which can lead me to have limited use of the site, I.E not be able to enter competitions any more.

Has this happened to anyone else & if so is there a way around this?. Can I set up another account with a different name?

I'm at a loos as to what to do

You have to make sure you aren't just using facebook for comping. It has to look like a real profile with other things happening on your profile other than competitions. Real photos, real life, real interaction etc. Wouldn't recommend a second account as it is against facebook terms and conditions and if you get found out you can have both accounts suspended.

I generally have a few goes on Puzzled Hearts before I enter comps. I use the Zaggora HotPants competition on facebook as well.

Just shows that you're interacting with more than the competitions .............. hopefully!

Oh dear - did they just block you or were you warned? I was once blocked for 30 days and just rode it out. I didn't bother opening another as I didn't want to risk being called a cheater. I could share but not comment on company pages. It was awful at first but then the weeks flew by and I could post again. Have they given you a time scale? Some blocks just last a few hours or a few days?

I've never heard of Puzzled Hearts, will search for it. And never heard of Zaggora Hotpants either so will find that also.

No they gave me no warning, just tried to like a comp & it would not let me, say's its for a set period of time which they can not alter. Plus it say's if I still keep using it I will get extra time added on, so I probably now have extra time onto my ban!.

I hope it at some point lets me back on properly.

add some friends when you get yor account back and post some statuses make it look more real they dont like comping accounts

it happened to me when the advent comps were on , i got banned from commenting on post for about 3 days .. ive not had a problem since tho xx

To be honest I think Facebook are terrible for doing this to innocent people. If they were to take the time to look at your wall they would see you were not a spammer, or posting vicious sexist or abusive posts - just an inncocent comer sharing comps with friends!! I hate the way you cannot contact Facebook to give them an explanaion or ask them to look at your wall. They just block you or suspend you and then that is that!

I also think they randomly pick on people as I know a few friends on Facebook who are literally posting and sharing comps 20 hours a day! (yes true) and they have never been warned or suspended. Yet, I have other friends who don't comp for more than a few hours in the evening because they work and they have had their accounts suspended? Doesn't make sense at times!
