what was your first ever win?

Hi everyone!

I'm still very new to this comping thing and have yet to win anything (fingers crossed I will win something soon!) but I was wondering is anyone can remember what their first ever win was?

I'm so nosey and love hearing the stories people have, whether it be from winning a chocolate bar or a huge ITV win Were you comping long or were you one of the lucky few who win in the first few weeks?

Can't wait to hear about everyone's wins

i'm also new to proper comping and have only been entering a significant amount through MSE for about a month, since i was made redundant. A daybreak goodie bag did come but with the sheer volume of these sent out i'm not sure how much it counts as a proper win :rotfl:

I just remembered my 'first ever' win - it was Siemens phone way back in 2003-ish. I just got an email saying I had won a Siemens phone.

Then back in about 2008, I entered a competition from a pack of Jus-Rol pastry to win a recipe book which I also won.

Those were obviously one-off's. I didn't enter competitions regularly until I discovered this part of the site back in November 2011.

My first prize came in early January - a dancing Dora the Explorer doll. It inspired me to keep going and here I still am!!

mine was a complete kitchen appliance package the following morning after i first started entering competitions! Microwave/oven/steam iron/toaster/kettle/handheld vac/hoover i was chuffed to bits to say the least! This was 5 years ago now though lol

I won an iPhone speaker dock worth about £150 quid from this site back in '09, only 2 were given away so I was shocked to receive it through the post months later. I thought it had been delivered in error and I was going to be charged to send it back until I googled my name and discovered it was legit (such is my bad luck!)

I started comping in July this year and won a Mandara Spa Goody Bag and tickets for a family day out in my first week. Both of these were from twitter. Although I must say I did go a bit crazy at first and entered everything (it was my summer holidays). Now I'm back at work and lucky if I get on the computer twice a week!

Got a big tin of chocolates (think it was celebrations) off a relative and there was a little leaflet about a comp inside, so me and my partner had a look and you had to play a game where you throw marshmellows into a cup and see if you win instantly...

we kept playing for about 3 days, won the odd few little boxes of roses but then randomly on one of the days playing it a box poped up that we had won a tassimo hotdrink machine worth £120!

Was great we were over the moon.
