Got my Statutory Credit Report from Experian and it's actually not bad!

:)

I got it this morning, and out of the four creditors that I had debt with (and included in the bankruptcy,) three have put the status as 'satisfied.'

One of the three who put 'satisfied' were the building society that we had our mortgage with, and two companies that we had secured loans with. Our house was repossessed and sold on, and the money raised paid off the majority of the debt that we had with those three creditors. (The entire mortgage debt and one of the secured loans and half of the other.)

So the majority of our debts were cleared by our house being sold on :) And the majority of our credit record is full of zero balances where we have always paid everything on time and in full. So I guess the catalogue turning us down (that I posted about a few weeks ago,) must have just looked at the first one or two of the fifteen pages where it states that we went bankrupt 2 years ago.

However one creditor (the bank that we were with for 15 years til Oct 2010,) says that there are still monies outstanding: it says there is still a balance of a £3K overdraft and also 2 large loans we had.

But they were written off in the bankruptcy. Is it not supposed to say this? Are they supposed to have updated it to say 'written off?' And if so, what can we do about it? If anything.

Any advice or help welcome. As I said though, apart from that one glitch, (with our old bank) the credit record was not too bad.

Thanks folks. I have seen the thread, but there is a lot of info on there. Sorry to be a pain in the bum, but which part of the thread do I need to be looking at to see how I remedy the one creditor still showing me with outstanding debt even though I have been bankrupted. Indeed, is there anything I *can* do?

    Thanks again :)

They are, but they did sort mine eventually, so not a nightmare for everyone. Or at least not so much that you have to complain to the ICO/FOS every time.

I have never been with them, but the property agent that my landlord uses used to be with them, and they found them such a nightmare that they changed banks.
