The debt you have taken out is in your name and the only way you could get any of the money back if your friend stopped paying would be to start action through the county court and show there was an informal agreement that she would pay. Unfortunately as the debts were all in your friend's name and the agreement would seem to be with her I do not think any similar action against her ex-partner is likely to be successful as you would need to prove he made an agreement to pay and received consideration for the agreement which would not seem to be the case here.
