it's a bit mad though as the stores have got around it by making the wine £3.33 a bottle so less than 3 for £10 :rotfl:

Can,t say it's made any change to the drinking habits of the young ones either, they wouldn't buy this kind of wine anyway, Buckfast seems to be the drink of choice for them and thats about £8 a bottle so the price doesn't seem to bother them :eek:

Morning everyone

I have just spent the last 3 hours catching up and I feel really sad. i do not know what has happened but over the last couple of days the thread seems to have changed with constant bickering and arguing and a lot of the regulars are disappearing.

Please do not let this happen to the thread everyone.

I do not think I am the only person on here that will say that this thread and the wonderful people on here have been a godsend to me at what was a really dark and difficult time in my life.

I know shocking ! The young ones in my college class last year were verging on alcoholics. I don't drink much to be honest, I just don't get the chance. Time precious.

I do however get wine for FIL Xmas etc so will search for bargains for him .

I'm bit far from the border for a hooch run but I have felt a little left out on the wine glitch

nearly been caught out myself over any drink glitches but fortunately remembered just in time before buying any:D
