    Hi scuff!

I have never cooked so much, since discovering MSE.
I feel a real sense of pride if I can stretch my meals to feed us all and save a few pennies.

Oh yes beanie I can't wait to kick another debt off the list!

So I picked up my freecycled breadmaker, no instructions but I'm sure I'll figure it out lol!
To my shame I have the heating on.
Its so cold and damp here and I need to dry some of the washing.
Anyhoo one more cup of tea then back to my knitting.
    I'm making my dd3 a nice warm scarf :)
    Xx

Well the poo has hit the fan!

Got a letter from the council to say the judge had ruled for eviction.
    Cue hysteria from me.
I then had no choice but to ring a very good friend of mine, admit how much of a fool i had been and ask her to bail me out.
    Spent all of yesterday crying.
but today is another day and i am coming back with a vengence.
I'm off to housing office to sort out my housing benefit.
I thought i could do this on my own and i cant.
I allowed pride to get the better of me and now i am forced to go cap in hand to benefits people.
Lesson learnt from, from now on paying the rent is my number one priority. The other stuff will just have to wait.
i fooled myself into thinking if i got the other stuff paid off and down i could then hack the rent.
Like i said i 've been a fool. If it wasnt for my friend myself and my family would be homeless.
It doesnt get much lower than that:(
A very disheartened bagpuss signing off.

    Thanks beanie,

So I have been to the housing office and sorted out all my paperwork with them.
Hopefully by next week I will have some good news from them reducing the rent.

I have made an arrangement with my friend to pay back the rent weekly in instalments plus interest.

Phoned tax credits but they are unable to help unless he has been on SSP for more than 28 weeks.
    So no joy there.

Feeling a little bit calmer today but need to stay strong and I'll get this sorted.

Will update my sig with new total debt amount.

    So i'm back.

I have been in a bit of a bad place since last weeks problems.

    Feeling particularly low today.

Anyhoo, i have been v strict with my food budget as we only had a couple of pounds for the weekend.

I have got my freecycle bread maker to work so getting lots of nice fresh bread to go with dinner.
Made a small payment to v so only £24.50 to go.
Selling my phone to m*zuma for £117 so hopefully that wont take long to go through.
once thats one then i will use the money to clear very, get ds's books for college and hopefully a couple of x mas pressies.

Hubby going to the docs today to see if he can be signed fit to work.
Keeping everything crossed as we need him back on a full wage.

Hopefully be back when i'm in better place.

  • Well wow its been too long!!!!!!

    So to update,

Hubby is now back at work after being given the ok from the hospital to drive.
The dvla have agreed he can continue and hubby's boss is happy as long as paperwork all in place.

We have continued to pay the rent in full every week, even though we are still waiting to hear from housing benefit about our change of circ claim while hubby was out of work.
I even have the guy who was responsible for evicting me writing to them on my behalf.
He is a really nice man:D

I have taken out my 1st very debt and only have £4.00 to pay on court cost arrears.

Christmas was ok, if a little subdued as i was v ill with a sinus infection and money was a little tight.
Kids were good though and didn't mind that they received very little.
I have good days and bad days but i am hoping that 2013 is gonna
be a great debt busting year.:T

Good grief its been a year since i posted in my own diary.
    Dreadful.

Right to surmise 2013 started the year skint and totally fed up.
Plodded along, got myself a part time job in october.
Worked like a demon over x mas,
Paid off very debt number 2.
    Hacked down halifax debt.
Paid off loan for the rent arrears.

    So to the present.

Today i have put bread in the bread maker and meat balls in the slow cooker.
Dd3 has a swimming lesson, so quick dinner needed.
Went to mr t's and got some more milk and bits for chinese new year.
Washing put on airer and next load in.

Rounded up bank account and made a small payment to a bnpl for washing machine.

Wish it would stop raining, sick of getting wet all the time :(
