So lost 1lb since yest!
I have decided to start weighing myself on a Tuesday. I think the problem with Monday weigh in is that if I eat a big meal on Sunday I weigh more on Monday. It takes a while I be converted into fat so it doesnt mean i actually have put on weight. especially if I weigh less on Tuesday it isn't weight on, just the weight if the meal if that makes sense?!
So as its Tuesday I can now report my weight as 11st 1lb :j
Plan for today-
B- porridge, honey and almonds
S- carrot, 1/2 yellow and 1/2 green pepper
L- hm curried butternut squash soup, brown roll, fat free yog and pineapple
S- clementines and handful, trail mix
Pre gym- apple
Dinner- beef stew
Doing body combat tonight
Made about £15 on eBay at weekend so need to go post office to post
As I'm working from home today at lunch time I plan to post a few things on our intranet marketplace as they are a bit bulky for eBay. Hopefully another few quid.
Also plan to go on intranet and check redundancy and sick pay so I can change my mpi insurance (currently mine is immediate cover but I know I get quite a few months full sick pay so can change the claim period). Currently I am with my mortgage co as was at slight risk of redundancy when I got it so no one else would cover me. As that's not the case now I will change it and looks like I will go from about £30 month just for mortgage to around £13 to inc 25% for bills:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hope all is okay xx
Have a nice weekendx

so made around £15 on ebay
someone is looking at one of the items i listed at work on monday so hopefully another £8
have overspent this month by about £80need to rein that in! will be doing new budget from next month to give myself more to spend on clothes and weekends away as these seem to be where i go over budget. have also increased food a bit. dont think i will spend that much every month but can save any left overs for more expensive months.
nov looking good for ms, got £185 booked alreadythese are booked until next sat. will try and pick up more for later in the month as well so can make a bigger payment off cc. got a few hours overtime as well next weekend as well. :T
so plans for this weekend are mainly mystery shopping as got 5 shops and 2 audits today, 1 shop, 3 audits and 1 phone call tomorrow then 3 jobs on monday. also need to do some batch cooking but the freezer is full. not quite sure where its going to go but i am out of curry, thai curry and bought a pumpkin for soup so all needs to be made!
will also cancel lovefilm and magaziner subscription this weekend.
going to try and make it to a spin class this afternoon but not sure if can fit it in with all jobs! naughty clippy has not been since tuesday and had a mcd yest :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hmmm didn't make it to the gym yest. Sat around reading a book and eating junk that I bought from the shop
Ms went ok, unfortunately had to cancel one as went in the shop and one assistant recognised me from a previous visit (but didn't know I was a ms). Didn't seem natural so I cancelled it. However I had a genuine enquiry to make regarding a new camera so got advice and tried it out and know which one I want now (£220 ). Will get £100 off dad towards it for Xmas but can have early. Think I will buy next week so I can practice before my next weekend away!
Rejigged budget and included some ridiculous amounts for frivolous spending. Won't post on here as I will get shouted out! Tbh I am happy with it as it is all contained within my wages except about £20 so is not really impacting on debt repayments. Plus i will get a pay rise of about £30 month soon. I have been clearing debt for over 2 years now and been pretty frugal (except for my holidays :rotfl:) and have cleared in excess of £11k in that period (not sure of amount as keep adding to it as I'm paying it off!). I know I will get debt free and am happy to go at a bit of a slower pace to get there. I'm sick of not going out as I can't afford it or going on a weekend away anyway and using the debt funds. As I have a lodger and extra income from ms I can spend money on stuff like my nails and still clear a decent amount each month so I am happy with that.
I'm going to the gym today for a class with a friend who has just joined. I always walk unless I go on my way home from work but she is picking me up as she lives a bit further. Hopefully I can persuade her to come from a swim after so I can get a lift home as its raining
Once back I need to have lunch then go and do a ms, get some hamster food and pop into chavsta. Then I am cooking pot of curry and cleaning down stairs. Need to type up today's job then off to do three cinema audits.
From today I am back on the healthy eating bandwagon! Wouldn't call it a diet as not cutting back on the amount really, just ensuring that the food I eat is healthy!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hmmm so weigh in today. No weight lost, think I put on 1/2 lb
Stats are-
Weight 11st 1.6lb
Waist- 38in
Leg- 22 1/3 in
going to try my hardest to get down to under 11st this week.
Started of well yest and did body pump. Will be good today and body combat tonight:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
so healthy eating gone v well this week. only bad thing since last sat was 1 small choc yest in hotel chocolat as was offered a taste when getting friends xmas present. gym not gone great as left work too late to go tue and fri and didnt feel well thursday. went yest and will prob go later although no class on. was 11st 1lb this am so that better have gone down by tue
ms still going well and picked up few more. up to £200+ nowdid overtime today but only for two hours (job was much quicker). i have already spent it though as bought new purse and bag yest
both were needed though as clasp gone on purse and bag was a bit tatty.
hmmm now have a naughty dilema. i really want to do as much travelling as poss at moment esp to places that i couldnt really visit with kids or that i dont want to do when i am old. i am toying with the idea of going to india next autumn. i have priced up a 15 day tour with flights for sept (cant check flights for later) and its about £1200 which is pretty cheap. will also be dirt (literally:rotfl:) cheap for food and not planning on massively drinking (although obv will have the odd tipple) so spends shouldnt be too much
by current projections i will be debt free by dec 2013. so if i allowed say £1600 for trip and went in oct then i would be debt free in march/april 2014. i could then save up for the next big trip which will prob be kilmanjaro and that would take a year. would very much like to be debt free before i go away again but at the same time its new debt and will only be a small amount. other thought i had was to go in march 2013 then i would be debt free by time i went :j but the trip doesnt depart between jan-sept
think what i will do is plan to go in octbut wait until i get back in april to book it. this way i will know whether i have kept to budget in nz and so am on track. if i am massively behind df target of dec 2013 at that point then i will not book it
at the moment i only owe a smallish amount but i have a tax bill to pay, my nz tour to pay and spends to save for so dec 2012 will be the last the month the £550 goes towards debts until i am back from nz. jan will pay £550 for the tax bill (that is actually how much it is) then feb/march/april £550 will go for my spending money. the remaining current debt along with the tour will be bt to a new 0% card in march
as the debt will be interest free anyway perhaps i will start to save any extra money in my unused isa towards the hol as that will hopefully motivate me. if i saved the £1600 for the hol then i would still be debt free by dec 13 :A my df date of dec 13 is based on me paying currently £550 month off the debts so anything over that can go in the isa. in april once i know exactly how much i spent in nz i can check its still £550 based on the amount owed in total divided by 8 months (months until dec 13)
love it when a plan comes together
will try and enter comps as well as ms to raise some more funds:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Oops been a little while since I have updated!
So this month is the last month that I will be clearing debt (except min payments) until may!
Has not gone great recently and I'm def not where I want to be!
So at the moment I owe around
£1500 virgin cc
£1850 tesco card
I have just transferred the tesco card to my Halifax card temporarily as I wanted to close tesco and wait for it to show in report as closed before applying for another 0% card. There were no fees but I will need to pay around £50 in interest  but better than being declined I think! Not really sure how it works in terms of how much credit I can get and didn't want to risk being rejected.
So I still need to pay for my New Zealand tour and optional activities. Friend is doing the same and she paid for it all yesterday. As the booking is with my email ad I got her receipt and it is 4450 dollars. That is £2300!!
So at end of jan I will be looking to BT the following to 0% card-
£1500 virgin
£1300 tesco (will have made payment later this month from rent and ms)
£2300 tour
Total £5100 :eek::eek::eek::o
So basically that is my new debt total! Yikes!
So in jan I will pay tax bill of around £550. Anything extra will get get knocked off the Halifax balance if it comes in before it it is BT.
Feb, march and Aprils rent and ms money will be used for spending money so during this time I will pay min payment on new card and let the rest built up in my 'debt' bank account to use for spends. I will have at least £400 left over in march budget due to not needing gym, petrol, food, weekly spends etc.... so this will make up for lack of ms whilst i am away. I am going for 5 weeks and have budgeted £300 per week. This should be enough as all accom and transport is included in price of tour and the main activities we want to do have been paid for. We are staying in hostels and the trip notes say that often the group will cook together in the evening. Realistically we will not want to eat out every night for 5 weeks or go out drinking every night. Breakfast and lunch will be hm in the hostel kitchen so we just need to get bread etc.... I think this budget is very comfortable so hopefully may not spend it all but as it is probably the only time I will ever go to New Zealand I want to be able to do anything I really want to. If anything is left over it goes into the India pot (see below)
So when I get back I will then focus on hitting the cc to clear it. I will aim to clear on average at least £550 per month. This would mean a debt free date of jan/feb 2013 :T this is doable as is based on rent of £340 and £210 ms each month.
This will tie in nicely with my next holidayas above I want to go to India. I have found a diff company that does tours in March/April so no need to go in autumn. Initially I will stick with the idea of 'saving' for India anything above the £550 each month. Hopefully when I need to pay for flight and tour I will have enough saved and then spends can be paid in march when I am debt free! Equally, if I earn less than £210 in a month from ms, I can make up the £550 payment using the India money.
:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
So plans!
I need to get a 0% card. Will get a low BT fee one as only need 0% deal for 13 months. On about 15 jan I will access my credit report online to ensure tesco shows as closed then apply for one. If in worst case I don't get a high enough balance, half debt can go on virgin card as they have just given me a 0% offer.
Need to try and shave some off food budget as its crept up to £100 per month. Can't lower brands as only buy about 4 branded products as everything else I cook from scratch so all own brand ingreds. Need to start going to lidl/Aldi again to get all fruit and veg every week even if I don't need much as its so much cheaper than other stores. Will try and save a small amount of budget each month to go towards the chicken/bacon I buy in bulk 3/4 times per year (at £30 a go). Will revisit food budget in feb/march to see if it can be cut
Try and not waste weekly spends and need to save for friends hen before New Zealand and wedding when I get back. Hen is paid for so need petrol (prob nearly £80 as its on other side of countryalthough will look into train) and spends whilst there. Wedding I will need to book hotel ASAP
Also need to think about how to get/save extra for India. In April my 2 yr iphone contract runs out so as long as the phone still works I will go sim only until new iPhone comes out in sept/oct which wil save around £180. Think I also have a council tax free month in march. As before, also need to start coming again!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
