Wow.
After a frugal month, I've been able to move my DFD forward from the 25th September to the 24th August. That's in two days' time!
I am in shock. I remember updating my figures to 8% paid off and how daunting the task seemed. But budgeting has changed my life completely, and I've paid off £24k in two years whilst having more ££ in my purse and having learnt the real value of a pound.
Good luck to all of you starting your journeys, or coming to the end as I am. This site has allowed me to become financially literate for the first time in my adult life, and I couldn't be more grateful.

To answer a few Qs -
Yes I do intend on saving, but I'm not putting any plan in place until January. I want to enjoy having spare cash for the pretty much the first time in my entire adult life. I'd like to have some new clothes, maybe a short holiday!
I'm a big advocate of snowballing and have done it since Day 1. The interest on my debts was relatively low but it was still invaluable. I liked the structure of having a set amount to pay. I started paying around £750 a month and for the last few months that's gone up to £1250.
My biggest piece of advice is to learn to budget, and how to stick to it. I have a physical budget book which I keep on my desk and update daily. We all work hard for our money so it's important to know where it goes. I do a fresh budget for each month, taking into account any expenses I know are particular to that month.
I'm feeling very emotional today actually. My last day as a DFW!Total Debt Sept 2010 - £24,132.38 / Current - £0.00/ 100% paid
