Ah but my 2nd pair of glasses are fine! Weird. When the wonky pair are lying on a flat surface one arm touches the surface and the other doesn't-I'm sure it's them that are wonky! But my ears prob are too;)

I would eat weird meals to use stuff up, but I'd meet with a lot of moaning from the dear daughters, esp eldest. I do need fruit, veg, bread and milk-we have meat and tinned stuff so it should be a small shop.

Ex has arrived to take the girls now...my peace is imminent:rotfl:

  • Well I managed to do the food shopping for £36 which I was pleased with:D I even put a few things back as I knew we didn't desperately need them:)

I went to town this morning with dd1 as she wanted a book - her dad said he'd pay but what a surprise when I picked her up from ex-mils she didn't have any money. I told her if he doesn't pay then it's coming out of her own money- that'll make her try hard to get it:rotfl: I did buy her a gcse revision guide for the book they're doing in English, that was £6. I bought some cheap work trousers for myself in h&m for £10, a tshirt for her for £4....and that's all we got. I got my glasses sorted - now straight:D

Home now and need some motivation to get off the sofa:o I've not been feeling my best, a bit down in the dumps really:( I'm cross with myself for chickening out of meeting the Internet guy (even tho I vaguely knew him a school 25 yrs ago it's still scary) - I am so rubbish, have no confidence in myself whatsoever which I know, but can't seem to get over it.

Since having my operation for my crohns over 2 years ago I have become even less sociable than I ever was - I hate having crohns, it's embarrassing, awkward and frustrating. I hate making plans in case it's playing up, so best to avoid it.

    Ok, must stop whinging:o

Going to put the rest of the shopping away then see what I could be doing.

  • Hooray - my £122 cashback from booking the holiday has been received and is payable at the end of the month:beer: I have £172 coming from quidco soon...woohoo:)

The next part of the holiday deposit is due at the beginning of October - £400 - so that will go towards that.

I also found a good deal yesterday - through quidco I went to Will1am H1ll and deposited £10 to play in the Vegas rooms...I won £10, so played through my initial deposit then withdrew the £10 winnings. Cashback has tracked - £50:T That'll be a an excellent deal if I get that cashback - even if it had cost me the £10 I'd have been happy...but I won £10..so it could be a free £50:D W-Hill are a fast paying merchant so I *should* get it in a month...all good for the holiday fund.

I have the Sky £100 cahsback still to come from TCB too...hope it's soon:D

So it's been a no spend week really. £9 in the shop today on bread, cheese, biscuits, waffles and an air freshener. There's £19 left in the spends account not used this week - quite pleased with that. I think I'll return the H+M trousers I bought, i dont love them enough...so will have £10 back. We will go to town this weekend as dd1's new glasses have rubbed a great red mark on the side of her nose and she is not impressed - it looks like a big spot:o

  • Arghh, I've seen Kindles are now £69;) I have £41.79 in Amazon vouchers in my account so I am reeeeeally tempted:o:o I know I had one and sold it....but that was so I could get the iPad. I'm considering it. I definitely want one for holiday next year - with going away for 2 weeks, I'd want to take about 6 books...so a Kindle would be much easier (and lighter!).

Hmmmmm, I shall keep thinking....and admiring it on Amazon:rotfl:

  • Well, £172 has been sent to my bank account from Quidco:beer: And, the £50 from W-Hill has been received and will be sent at the end of the month:T Amazing - £50 for nothing, really happy with that! So, £222 towards the deposit thats due in about 2 weeks.

I transferred £20 leftover from last weeks spends into the savings...£70 went in last week, pleased with that. Spends account back to £100, I'll put £30 of petrol in tomorrow as I'm low now. I might take girls to cinema on Saturday but not sure yet. I need to buy a birthday pressie for my bestie for next week and get a voucher for £10 for my niece. I'll see whats in my pressie box...but not sure if there's anything suitable.

I also need food - will probably go tomorrow after work. I'd better do a meal plan first. Anyway, best go pick up girls:)

  • Today's shopping came to £60:o That was actually less than I expected-I did have quite a lot so we shouldn't need anything much this week. I did get 2 packs of mince, 2 packs of chicken breasts, drumsticks so all our meat for over a week.

I was naughty though - I went shopping having not done a meal plan or list:eek: Most unlike me:o

I was lazy and bought pizzas for tonight (3 for £5) - I'm so tired, I just want an easy dinner and collapse on the sofa with my book, bliss:)

  • So, spends for yesterday were £60 in T's, £30 petrol put in car. I did pump up a tyre while there too, it was really low in pressure - I'd better get to a tyre place soon as I think is letting air out somewhere - the guy at the garage only pumped them up 2 weeks ago:o I don't intend to drive this weekend anyway, I want to save the remaining £70 that's in my spends account.

The £172 from quidco arrived yesterday so I've out it in a separate account ready to go towards the holiday deposit in 2 weeks. Ex's money should go in next week - though the numpty still hasn't changed the standing order so no doubt itll be a palaver to get it before the 1st, grrr he's hopeless. He's also giving me some extra towards the uniform bits I had to buy. I still need to get the school trousers, but they're managing for now so will hang on a bit;)

Just enjoying the peace before girls get up and take control of the tv:D School uniforms are just in the machine and will go on the line, then another load in. All very exciting jobs for the weekend - hoovering whole house, ironing, cleaning...wow, I know how to enjoy my days off:rotfl:

  • Nice quiet and cheap weekend:D

NSD today and almost yesterday - I just ordered an iPad screen protector for about £1.20 on amazon;)

Girls are out having dinner at the ex mil's so that's good - saves me feeding them. I've done the ironing and place is tidy enough. I put the heating on for just under an hour - wanted to check it was all working ok as I've not used it since we moved in. All working fine:) the radiators all have individual controls which the old house didn't, so at least I can turns some radiators off. My gas payments right now are a little over what we used, but worried that in the winter I won't be paying enough. And as I pay £80 for gas and elec, I really don't want to pay more:o

I must start thinking about Xmas soon too and stocking up on bits and bobs gradually. I have some ideas for DVDs that girls want, that's a start. Eldest wants a pair of boots and no.2 wants a new phone - that's fine, she's had her current one for 2 years and its kn@ckered, on its very last legs;) so, will investigate a decent deal.

You have done so well with your cashbacks and all coming at the right time to pay for your holiday :)

Is there any way you can arrange another meet up with the internet guy? You honestly shouldn't lack self-confidence - you look terrific, certainly not anywhere near your age - go on it can't hurt can it?

You are the only person who beat me on Song-Pop last week - the gloves are off this week :p
