Excellent work re the T's undies but what a nuisance about the jeans . Hope you get it sorted soon.
Just had an email from Republic asking me to review the bl00dy jeans:mad::eek::mad:
Needless to say I haven't got them yet...I shall be ringing back later. So frustrating!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
The jeans should arrive tomorrow- they're resending the parcel. The darn courier company claimed I signed for them  Hope they fit after all this :rotfl:
I saw my college tutor this morn and she let me borrow a research project written by another student, I just didn't know where to start with mine. I am severely lacking in any motivation and inspiration though...I annoy myself:o I need to find some though. And here's me trying to encourage my eldest to work hard as its her gcse year coming up, I need to lead by example!
NSD today - apart from petrol but that's an essential spend. Will go to town tomorrow for girls school bags, the shoes from amazon were fine thanks goodness. Getting a bit bored of being at home, dd2 driving me mad by just doing nothing - she needs to get back to school too:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Tax credits day today, so spending account has money in again after the weekend:o Transferred £60 to the grocery account and £65 from last week's grocery float so I'm back to full 2 weeks of grocery money. £125 for 2 weeks sounds like a lot...I'm going to see how little I can spend;)
I've just listed 2 things on eBay - a text book I won't need again and a nice bag that'd be good as a school bag, thought I'd get it on now in case people are looking for school bags.
Sat here with a cuppa reading my book...and not a uni book:o I have 4 assignments left to finish the degree so the end is kind of in sight. Mind you, I applied for an extension of my submission dates (again:o) but this time due to my unexpected house move, not illness for once;) The board aren't meeting to decide though until next week...if they turn my request downim stuffed as my submission dates were last week. Maybe that's why I can't muster up any enthusiasm, knowing that I could get told no, so why waste time until I know?!;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Don't complain about your holiday time! I'd love a few more days off during the summer
I'm very envious!
Hope the jeans arrive soon and are a perfect fit. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Sorry poles, I know I am lucky so I shall zip it;)
So, the jeans arrived at last:D She's not tried them on, darn well hope they fit after all the palaver.
Spent a while on the phone to BT asking for a mac code....and having the chap go on and on about their offers etc, which I politely turned down. Then was told they can't give the mac code as sky have put a cease on my account. Cue phone call to sky, but they assure me that's fine, it'll all go through on Thursday. So why send me a letter asking me to ring and get a mac code if I don't need to? Wasting my money on phone calls:mad:
Anyway, hopefully it'll all go through on Thurs ok and then we can use the sky anytime plus as we'll have unlimited broadband:D And my bill will go down - win/win:T
Might be going to town later, if the teenagers can get up. They're awake, just not up. It's raining here so I won't be disappointed if they don't want to go;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Oops, forgot to update for a few days:o
We had a quiet weekend - went to my Mums on Sunday and stayed the night, so got fed and had a nice lie in. I did feel a bit ropey on Sunday though, Crohn's flaring up a bit in the last week, so have been taking it easy and hoping with some plain, easily digestible food, it'll calm down.
I have been doing surveys too as they're emailed to me - claimed a £5 Amazon voucher from mysurvey the other day and am up to 355/550 for another. This'll help buy Xmas/Bday pressies for people. Though last night I found lots of books I really want - they're all 'saved for later' now - I really don't need any yet:o
We're having lasagne tonight - so to be organised I've got the meat sauce cooking now, some garlic butter made too so we can have some garlic toast. I shouldn't need any more groceries this week. Girls are with their dad at the weekend so both days they'll be fed there. I'm back at work on Monday so might get food before then. On Tuesday I'm just working for 2 hours then dd1 and I have optician appointments afterwards.
I really need some new clothes for work - particularly trousers. I never see any I like though (that arent ridiculously expensive) - might nip to the Tesco home place this week and see if they have anything.
Ex's money is due this week - the idiot still hasnt got it sorted. He was meant to change the SO to the 25th from the 1st but what a surprise, he didnt manage it. So, I'll just expect it at the end of the week. Luckily I've got all girls need for school except for PE socks for dd2 but thats easy enough, the shops just down the road. We got bags for them on Friday - went halves as they wanted £35 bags.
And poor me, a filling disappeared the other day...didnt even notice it go - just felt the empty space with my tongue:eek: Dentist on Friday...hoping he can just fill it in, but it feels like half the tooth has gone. Yuk, I hate the dentist:(I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning:)
We ended up in town yesterday as dd1 went with friends, I said I'd pick them up so to save driving I another day I thought I'd go I a bit earlier and he the few bits I needed. Dd2 came with me and we managed to spend a few pounds:o Mind you, what she bought came out of her own money. I swapped a top I bought for work last week, I also bought myself a cheap casual top in h&m and one in new l00k. I bought dd1 a winter coat too, which set me back £48. It's e one she's been coveting for weeks so thought I'd buy it while they have them in stock. Last year I left it late and they'd sold out so we ended up buying her one she didn't love and barely wore:o That coat will be on eBay this year I think;)
Then we get home and dd2 has been invited to a birthday meal tomorrow, and wants a top she saw in town - that I told her not to buy yet, to wait until she had an occasion to wear it to:rotfl: it's a lovey day here though, so a wander round town will be nice.
Girls are with their dad this weekend, well from 4pm sat until Sunday evening so not really the weekend...more a 24hr period;) Still, it means no cooking for me for 2 days:T
I have a few things to get done over the weekend before I go back to school on Monday, I shall get a list done.
The sky broadband should be activated today so will get the router connected and hopefully it'll all work later on! We can use the sky anytime+ then as we'll have unlimited bb, sounds good.
I really need some work trousers, I had a look in town but there was nothing I liked (cheap!) so I had a look at next online and ordered lots from the sale - I found about 8 different ones so hopefully a couple will be ok, hope so as they're all about £14. I wanted work shoes, but again, no cheap ones. I think I'll just spend the money getting a couple of pairs of mine reheeled and soled as I really like them:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hope you find some trousers that fit. i just got a pair of Jane N0rman ones that my sis was chucking out. I had to lop about 4 inches off the bottom of them (she's taller than me) but now I have refamiliarised myself with the sewing machine it's no bother. Actually it's made a lot of shops far more accessible to me so i won't always have to stick to petite ranges
My DD doesn't go back to school until wednesday and I have Tuesday off so that will no doubt be spent rushing round getting last minute bits. I probably need a list tooIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Disaster...my car's gone wrong:(:( On Thursday evening just before we got home I had a warning flash up saying the engine temperature was too high. Put some more water in as it had got a bit low, tried it a few times but no - the temp gauge rocketed, fan kicked in and the warning. Same happened yesterday morning when the engine was obviously not hot so I rang the garage and he said its probably an electrical fault. He was shut til Tues so I could drop it then. He said it was ok for me to drive it to work Monday. SO, I drove to the dentist yesterday as I just had to go and the filling sorted - but as we left ( I was dropping dd2 off there as she was off to a birthday lunch out with friends) the car barely started, kept cutting out as soon as I touched the gas:mad:
I went to the dentist - filling all refilled again - and was going to leave the car at the garage (as its just round the corner) but when I rang the garage man he'd rather I didnt:( Ex had rung and offered to come drive me home so he appeared and I left the car in my work car park. I wish we still lived in the village where work is, as is dentist, garage and girls friends! So, I'm now at home, car-less:( And I have to get myslef to work on Monday, typical. I think it'd take about 40min to walk, maybe less, or I could get the bus - haven't decided! I'm just worried the car won't start on Tuesday when I need to get it to the garage. Oh well, if it doesnt I guess I can call my breakdown as I'm over 1/4 mile from home!
It's all a right pain though. I don't need the car this weekend - girls are off to ex's later and I have booked an Asda delivery for tomorrow. I had a free delivery code in my account which was handy:) Just hoping the car doesn't cost me too much to fix:(I really need to sort out a new signature!0
