My daughter was there around 8.45 to meet my niece, there were loads of people there by then, some had camped overnight:rotfl: people were turned away as there were so many - crazy:D She loved her day. Luckily for me the ex works over that way so he took her and she just stayed til he'd finished work and came home then. OF is right, Tom is such a brilliant role model, dd is completely amazed with the perfect exam results he gets along with all the training that it's inspired her to work hard for her GCSEs which are next summer. She says if he can do it along with everything else he does then she has no reason not to do well...let's hope she keeps that in mind:D

I'm feeling back to full fitness again after the hiccup tha was my hangover yesterday:o:o I can't do this drinking malarkey, not at my age! Good job it only happens once in a while. My poor crohns doesn't like it either:( Still, feeling fine now. I'm all showered, hair washed and dressed. Have put all the rubbish and recycling out, didn't have the energy last night - I crawled off to bed at 9;)

Money wise, my spending account is a bit overdrawn..grrrr:o Though I do have £55 in cash in my purse - the leftovers of the night out and the refund from the book and dds money she didn't spend. I do want to buy a little desk for dd2s room though, I've reserved one in Arg0s which is £26 and comes with a chair. So I think I'll use that cash and just not touch the spending account this week.

I do need stuff for girls for back to school - they both need trousers and a bag each. Eldest needs pe trousers too, must check if dd2 needs any kit... and my least favourite shopping - school shoes:o I think unfortunately the savings will need to be dipped into for all this:(

Much as I just love the summer holidays at least going back to school will mean I can stop spending so much!

Food shopping came to £37 in T's and £2.45 in s-burys. The £37 did include £6 on a half price bottle of Persil small&mighty, that I like - it'll last a couple of months. Also a couple of pounds on lady stuff and a half price tin of caramel shortbread. The shortbread was in a very lovely London 2012 Olympic tin - I really wanted it when it was full price but couldn't spend £5...so was pleased to get it half price. It'll go nicely next to my jubilee biscuit tin:rotfl:

I've just put together the desk for dds room...not a bad little thing for £26 with the chair, obviously the qualitys not great but it'll do the job:D I also got a watch battery fitted, £4.50 there. Now sat with a cuppa feeling rather tired:o

Pixie - I'd like to pick your brains if I may... I could well be coming over to your city next Thursday with possibly three boys in tow - 11,9 and 6 yr olds. Now I appreciate you have girls but is there anywhere you can recommend for entertaining them for the day (oldest ds is doing cricket from 9.45 until 4.45 roughly). I'd like to take them to the baths but somehow don't know if they'll be interested for more than one minute.
    Thanks

    Lovely -thank you.

I've also got to work out where to park - ds is going to the Rec. I need to see whether the park and ride goes anywhere near it as he will have all his cricket stuff with him!

    Morning:j
Morning on my own as usual...lazy backside daughters still asleep:o

I feel like the holidays are slipping away now, I always feel a bit sad around now that the loveliest part of the year is on its way out. Not at I ever mind going back to work, I love my job. So i feel that I'm wasting time and not getting much done - I need to whip up a list of things I could do in the last 2 weeks. I will have a think on that and be back later:D

No plans for today - I thought dd2 was having a friend to sleep but she didn't mention it yesterday, so will find out later what's going on. Better get my face on:eek:

    Another dull day here:o

Went with dd1 to the hospital to pick up her new retainers, stopped for a drink there to liven up the day;)

Just sat watching Masterchef and have written a few things to get done before back to school comes round. Here goes:
    • Clear out car and vacuum
    • Put up cheapo shelf unit in my room and fill with books
    • Sort my piles of folders/stationary for school
    • Clear out hall upstairs
    • Clear boxes in dd1s room
    • Clear ironing pile

I also have a list of things to buy over the next 2/3 weeks too:
    • Chest of drawers from Ikea and maybe a cheap dressing table mirror for dd2
    • School bags
    • PE socks for dd2
    • School tights and socks for both
    • Bday pressie for bro in law
    • Underfed storage boxes

My lists will no doubt get added to:D

I ordered school shoes for girls today - bit like Converse, from Amazon, £22 each. I tried to order trousers but they were out of stock for a couple of weeks. That's fine, they can manage until then.

Ex has said he'll give me some extra money towards the uniform stuff...but what a surprise I can't have it this month, it'll be at the end of Sept:o He's paid this fri so should get my money then, but I won't hold my breath - he set up a direct debit but last months didn't come to me on the 25th as he asked, it was done on the 1st. He doesn't use online banking either grrr, so can't change it without going in the bank.

I'm also cross as the jeans I ordered dd2 were due for delivery on Saturday. The online tracking said delivered at 11am...when I was home. They most certainly weren't delivered! Still no sign so have rung the delivery company and the retailer...apparently I signed for them  The retailer are contacting HDNL to see what happened...but this could take til Thurs to hear back...so I have no jeans and they have my £50...shocking:( HDNL did this once with an Amazon parcel which amazon kindly sent out another one of immediately. Some poxy drivers signed for me and kept my bl00dy parcel by the look of it:mad::mad:

Ok, off to shove pizzas in the oven;)

Lovely - Tesco emailed me to say I had a clubcard voucher expiring at the end of August. I checked the ones I have and none were expiring, I usually use up the old ones first. Still, if Tesco say I have one:)

So I went online to my account, found the voucher (which was just 1 for £5), then doubled it up for a £10 e-voucher to use on clothing. I then bought a bra for myslef (much needed, my undies are shocking:o) and some of the tights on my list of things to buy for school:D

So - pretty much a free bra and pack of 3 tights...a good job done tonight:)
