It was a 3GS I sold. I'd upgraded to the 4S (which I love even more
). I couldn't believe what people would pay for the older one.
Aaa ah I see:D Thats an even better result than I thought then if it was for the 3GS one. I'm 18m through my 24m contract and for once I won't want to get rid (though I may contemplate the 5 if it's out by then;))
Good for Songpop these toys:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Just remembered another job for tomorrow - get my car tax done, urgh. I usually pay for the year but right now I only want to part with the £74, so 6months it is.
I have the hairdresser on Wed, which will cost me £20. I'm quite low maintenance though, I only get round to having my hair cut about twice a year (I last went in February half term), I trim my fringe myself between visits and do my own blonde bits and use J0hn Frieda lightening spray in the summer...just a cheapo hairdo for me;) Im looking forward to getting it tidied up though, I want a couple of inches off the length and more cut into the fringe...best not attempt that myself:rotfl:

Evening:)
Quick update as I'm not feeling myself today...been in a bit of a grump/low mood all day so getting to bed and hoping to cheer up tomorrow! Fed up feeling like a sad old single mum really. My sis booking next years summer holiday, we usually all go together, but I can't afford where they want to go, and they can go before schools break up. Obviously I cant as I work in a school. Everywhere I fancy is just really expensive:o My girls just looked uninterested when I suggested just the 3 of us going...I feel bad for them that it has to be this way:( I know plenty of kids live with just one parent but unfortunately I don't know any of them-my friends and girls friends all from 2 parent families...I feel really inferior all the time:o
Ok, moan over-what have I done today...
-car tax paid for, just 6m, but. Had £60 cash in my purse that ex had owed me from when dd2 went on a school trip away (I paid in March, she went in July, he's just overdue)- so used that cash and added £14 of my money.
-went to T's and bought 6 bottles of wine for £15.20:beer:
-finally got registration forms for new doc surgery, filled in at home and will return tomorrow
-checked with BT to see if I'm tied into o tract with them...I'm not, hooray, so going to investigate moving calls and broadband to Sky
That's all for one day. Tomorrow is hairdresser in he morning, then drop girls and friends I town so eldest can go to cinema (orange wed, £3 each, bargain) and escort dd2 to get her ear pierced...just in the one, daft child. But I did promise for her birthday (in may!). I will return one top to next and come home and get on with some packing/ironing.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Part of the offer ended last night:o
It was wine in the 3 for £12, then they were doing 25% off when you buy6...but the 25% off came off the original prices. So I bought £5.99 wine...bargain:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hooray, ex's money has gone in:j I was expecting it on his payday last Wed, but when he set the SO up last month the bank did it for the 1st...grrr. But here it is, ready for holiday. Luckily, I don't rely on his money for general living (though I don't tell him that);). I can just pay all the bills/food etc on my income/Tax credits, his money helps with extra things and often most of it is saved. Rentcomes out of the bills account leaving about £15 in there, then some housing benefit goes in on Monday. It can be confusing with the timing of my money going in/out but it usually works out fine.
So, taking girls to town today after I've been to the hairdresser. Eldest meeting her friend for the cinema so will give her a £5 for that. Youngest with a friend too. I'll have a quick wander, then come back to crack on with getting holiday bits ready.
Had my £3 into Paypal for the P-cone survey, will withdraw my ebay earings before we go away too hopefully if all the buyers tonight pay up:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hope you're feeling chirpier today pixie. I know how hard it can be. It is lonely being a single parent sometimes. Fortunately I have a couple of friends who are also on their own so it's not shoved in my face so much.
Have a lovely holiday anywayIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Thanks chick:A
I am definitely in the minority here - all colleagues are happily attached, my sis is too. I know I shouldn't but I do feel inferior to them all, like I'm not as good as them all with their families:o
Anyway, we're getting all our stuff together today ready to leave in the morning. It's not as stressful as going abroad, I'm very laid back about it, though my tummys nervous about sharing the caravan with everyone:o I'm so used to my own space and being on my own;)
I'm sure it'll be lovely though:)
All the ebayers from last night have paid up and I've parcelled all the bits. I have a couple of really disappointing sales - a pair of dd2s old converse went for just over £2 arghh and a lovely h0llister summer dress for a fiver:( Stll, the shorts that went for £23 kind of made up for it I guess! £78 withdrawn from PayPal, so after fees and postage I'll keep around £60 I reckon, mayb less. £6 owed to dd1 as 1 tshirt that sold was her birthday pressie.
I listed another handful of bits today while I was ironing, wanted to get 2 pairs of school trousers on in time for people to buy for back to school...good thinking eh:D
Best get to the PO soon and pack the cases.
Have a good week everyone if I don't get back on:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
