  • This weeks meal plan is great....;)
    Today - out with mum&stepdad
    Tomorrow - birthday takeaway
    Tues - spag bol
Wed - girls out with their dad
    Thurs - jacket pots&chicken/ spag bol l/o for dd1
Fri - dd1 off to my sis, dd2 to her dads
Sat - just dd2 and I...prob have curry:)

Is my birthday tomorrow hence the eating out today and takeaway tomorrow:D eldest off tommy sis next fri night (on the train on her own!) and to a concert sat night, staying there and ill get her on Sunday. So not much cooking this week:) I did go to T's on fri...I spent £88 on food, I couldn't believe it...there wasn't much extra, maybe about £5 more on bits for the girls to take to the gym comp they went to all day yesterday. £88?? It's ridiculous, my receipt isn't even that long.

Prices going up and my wages haven't gone up in years:( didn't even buy any alcohol I. That £88, not much meat...I really don't know how it came to so much:(

So, this week will hopefully not use too much of what we have in and hopefully just need some fresh bits to top up until next week.

Off out for a carvery today courtesy of my mum, so that'll be good. Best get dressed:)

I'm feeling very poor right now, everything is costing so much, never any leftover:o

Hope you're OK pixie and had a lovely birthday and were spoilt rotten.

Re your groceries, is there an A1di or Lid1 near you? They really are worth giving a try even if you have to drive a bit to get to them. They do take a bit of getting used to but honestly it's well worth it when you get the total spend at the till. Mine came to just £24 this week. The savings become addictive :)

Hope you had a lovely Mothers Day too :)

Heyyyyy you, good to 'see' you back:)
Yes, my birthday was fine thanks, girls got me some lovely pressies - dd2 was fab and set her own amazon account up to order me so e earrings and an ipad cover. Dd1 sent her dad shopping:o

Kind of lost interest in my diary:( I'm still keeping to dfw-ness of course, just not bothered in prattling to myself:o

We do have a L1dl near us, not ald1 - it's about 25m away. Maybe I'll venture in;) I am so used to going somewhere I know and buying same stuff, it'd ale me ages to find stuff in a new place:rotfl:

Ok, here I am again....creeping back in;)

May as well keep posting here, make sure I'm not losing track on the finances. Lets have an update...

Holiday is all paid for...well kind of, it's gone on a 0% cc:o I applied for a T£sco card and got the ok, 0% for 25months, pleased with that. I have £1000 on another 0% card and about £300 on my n£xt account which obviously isn't interest free so guess that's the one to throw money at first:)

May is an expensive month for me - both girls' birthdays and its dd1s 16th, so there will be a couple of meals out too. I have only just started buying her pressies-so far have a DVD box set she wanted (which I grabbed at £33 on amazon, when its been £41 for months;)), another DVD for £10 (little mermaid no less,)...that's all I've got so far. Dd2s is at the end of may and have ordered her a half price Marc Jacobs perfume gift set...very pleased with that. Otherwise it'll be clothes they want.

I have about £40 in my shop&sc@n account so will get amazon vouchers for that. I also just claimed £25 paypal money from mysurvey. My straighteners died a while ago so have been borrowing dd2s, with the intention of buying new ones for myself eventually, but have decided to get the ghds fixed (about £18 on eBay) - using the survey money...good thinking:D

What else? Darn water bill has gone from £37 to £40....that's dd1 and her endless baths/long showers. She has been warned, they need to stop. 1 bath a week max!

I sold a few bits on eBay recently - mostly clothing of the girls. I've put the money (about £110) in a separate account and will use it for summer clothes when they need it. Dd2 is off to Paris with school in July which is all paid for (ex stumped up his half), and we go the week after she gets back so some holiday stuff will be needed. Still have lots of stuff to sell so really need to pull my finger out.

Dd1 has her GCSEs this summer...starting very soon:eek: There has been plenty to buy for her - leavers book, leavers hoodie, prom, transport, photos....that's before the outfit:o she has got 2 dresses from as0s, under £100 for both which is great...and her dads buying the shoes:D

I'm just about scraping throu with the grocery budget - that's £125-£130 every fortnight, which sounds a lot now I've written it down:o not as if we have lots of luxuries (I don't think anyway), its just going to T£sco I guess, I haven't the inclination to go further afield to aldi:o

Anyway, not much else to report....my life is so exciting:rotfl:
If anyone's still with me, then thank you...hope all good with you:j

    Hurrah you are back :j

It doesn't look like you are doing too badly despite not being on here much. As soon as I neglect my diary I find my finances go the same way.....

You're doing great with the surveys. I mainly used to do them during quiet periods at work but there just haven't been many of them recently. I do remember doing quite well on mysurvey so maybe I should nip back on. Can't even remember the password it's been so long!

Hope your dds have good birthdays - great bargains there anyway.

Mysurvey were good to me recently - I got offered a 3-part survey, each part about 45m long though, but got £15 worth of points:T I do like their surveys and the fact you get the points added immediately.

Had some superdrug goodies arrive today - cacharel perfumes were £10 each last week, so got my sis one for her bday in 2 weeks and did get one for myself - Eden, but my friend loves it so might keep for her bday in September,I am sensible;) Also, 3 BarryM nail varnished for dd2s bday...3 for 2. She is completely obsessed with doing her nails:rotfl:

Off to wash my hair and get an early night. I seem to be in bed at 9 every night:)
