    I'm about!

How annoying about the car but I guess it's better to pay £71 now than have it turn into a £700 bill a few months down the line.

Hi poles:) You're right...£71 could be considered as not bad;) He did tell me that one tyre is getting a bit worn...when I looked at the invoice he gave me with the note on it, I realised its a different tyre to the one I thought....so 2 tyres I need, grrr:mad: Then I came home yesterday to my tax reminder...bu**er, I'd completely forgotten that was due in Jan...:o

Nearly an NsD today, then I came home and ordered an organ1sed mum life book as their sale started. I do love the books, have had them a couple of times before so I splashed out, £7.50 plus postage:o

Grocery account is back to full - £125 in there for the next fortnight. Girls are at their dads tomorrow so I save a meal. £100 from tax credits went into my spending account today and I then moved £50 out to go towards the car bill, the other £21 came from savings. I spent £10 on the diary so have just under £40 for the week - easy:rotfl: I will need petrol, hopefully £20 will be enough...I'm not going anywhere this weekend apart from food shopping so some of this weeks petrol will be left in.

I'm exhausted...tum been playing up this week, I can only imagine due to the alcohol last weekend:o I am daft, but it's never affected me this badly before:( So a very quiet weekend for me. I haven't slept well at all this week, so I will be in bed sooo early tomorrow while girls are away...bliss:D

    Hope all good in everyone's else's world:A

    Evening :D

Food shopping is done...it came to £71:o I did get loads though - 9 toilet rolls, washing liquid, lots of meat - frozen chicken, a whole chicken, huge mince, 6 pork steaks (so 2 meals worth), 2 packs of bacon. So definitely 2 weeks worth of meat...next week will be a small shop.

I'm in my pjs, dinner in the oven - oven fish and chips:D Girls being fed at their dads...they're not long gone. Heating is off...it was on for an hour this morning and about an hour and half earlier. It feels quite warm now, so no more heating tonight:D. I have my fleecy pj bottoms and my mum bought me a short robe type thing, fleecy, for Xmas - like a dressing gown but jacket length:) it's so warm...I often get too hot in it, perfect for this weather!

I put £20 of petrol in...that'll be plenty until next week. I'm not driving at all now until Monday - no need to go out:T Dd1 has some GCSEs next week, so Sunday is revision-with-her day;)

I get my PJs on as soon as we get home. Sometimes I'm ready for bed before dd is. And then the doorbell goes.....

I've recorded that because I was watching Stella on Sky 1. Can not even begin to imagine how much hard work 16 children are

Hey Pixie :) hope you had a good weekend ... Nice & relaxing hopefully ?
You are lucky your ex regularly has the girls - I could count on one hand how many times my ex has had boys in the last year ! Not quite every weekend as promised :rotfl:
Ah well , his loss :)

So, I have my water meter now:D

It's in the house so I can see me getting slightly obsessed with not seeing the numbers moving up;) I will be seeing how low I can get the monthly bill...got to be lower than the £42 I've been stuck paying.

Quick trip to T's after school today to pick up a clothes order I did - a bra for £4 and pack of school tights for dd2 for £4 too. She gets through so many pairs of tights the pest;)

I also spent £16 on groceries...hoping that'll last the weekend. We have tons of meat in the freezer, so shouldn't need much else. I have been having problems with my eczema for a few months now - my arms and back have been constantly itching and extremely dry, having to moisturise a few times a day. So i thought I'd dry fragrance free washing powder for the clothes. Dd2 gets it too, but mine has just been rubbish, not like this in years. No fabric conditioner and gone for Surc@re liquid so hopefully that'll help. I've also read brilliant reviews of a cream from Lu$h, so I might try that too.

Loads of ironing done today while the water board guy was here, a good job done. Best go and do dinner now...just bolognese tonight with one of my many bags of mince from the freezer:)

  • Hi Pixie -long time lurker here!

I couldn't not comment after you mentioned the Lush body cream: Dream Cream right?! I love it! I used to get little patches of ecsma (Sp?) on my arms but no more with DC! And it's all natural, no preservatives etc.

£11 for the deep tub, lasts me about 2 months (used all over every day). Plus if you bring 5 tubs back you get a free face mask.

It's one of those things I won't compromise on, although when I was particularly poor last month I ordered some Neutrogena Norwegain F0rmula while on Dire*t Cosmet*cs. It's fine, but nothing like as good and those little patches are back . . . quite looking forward to finishing it so I can buy some Dream Cream!

Hello karmachilovthing, thank you for de-lurking:rotfl:
Yes, it's the dream cream I'm wanting...reviews are mostly brilliant, so worth a try:) unfortunately there aren't any big pots on eBay and I wasn't planning on going into town. I've hunted for an online delivery code but none around:( Mind you, if I go into town I'd pay £3.10 to park and no doubt get roped into buying coffees for us so the delivery charge doesn't seem as bad:o
