  • Still going, I want to reach a min of 10 today :o

Got to 7, but that last one was a long one. Plus two of the positions have been removed. Still a fair few to apply for tomorrow, plus I need to get to the library to print out an application form for one. The race is on, last pay on Friday
  • 2 unsucessful (nhs & retail), 1 phone interview (need to call monday to arrange), 1 item listed on ebay (must list more this weekend), £5 in points on sb (saving for a paypal cash (which cost more points) out instead of vouchers... don't know anyone I could sell the voucher too sadly) and found more jobs to apply for :T

Thanks Pap, things have been pretty rough. The lovely man I moved to Edinburgh for turned out to be less than lovely, destroyed my mental health, broke my heart and ruined me financially. I'm getting over it, slowly.

Me and the kids have found somewhere nice to live (even if things didn't work out with him, Edinburgh hasn't used me or cheated on me, so I'm still in love with it :) ), I enjoy my job, I've got some fantastic friends here, and most importantly of all, the kids are happy, their schools are friendly and supportive and they have no desire to move back to Yorkshire.

My heart feels very heavy, and I'm fighting a lot of anger, but things could be much worse.

    Anyway, enough about that!

You are doing so well with the job hunting. It's hard to stay motivated, especially when you get knock-backs or don't get replies, but setting yourself targets is a good way to go. Those applications that are lengthy or a pain in the arris to fill in are your friends. If you think they're a pain, so will everyone else, and that will put a LOT of folk off. Making an effort to complete them immediately reduces your odds of being successful (I got my job this way after about 100 failed applications).

    Have a good week! xx

:( So sorry to hear that, I always remember when you 'found' him etc. I am glad to see you are recovering, albit slowly. Glad to see the children and well and settled and mostly that you are loving Scotland. How is R getting on at school now? Last time we spoke you are having a few issues although that could have been down in Yorkshire. I am guessing he is in/very close to seniors?

I can only imagine however I am sure you will come out the other side. I hope whatever comes up in the future will not be dampened by him.

Have a great weekend too, ps I have re added you on the blue F site ;)

You are right Snaggs, it would be simple if I just stuck to what I know but I want to push myself and if that means applying for jobs I have never done before then so be it. The ones that take so long is having to change my skills/written info to adapt to the advertised job. Not hard in principle but in practice its a pain. But as you say, worth it!

Well I chased up the company for the phone interview (above) at 10am and then again at 2.30pm but they always seem out of the office  However have a phone interview on Monday with a different company which appear better anyway, this job has gone from the companys job site though... Looks promising - PMA

Applied for JSA, that was a bit of hoop jumping. I had to put that I attend college (for maths) but they want info on how it's funded and to take it to the interview :o Obviously I can't get that so will have to explain that at the interview. They also want a letter from Mum stating she is taking no house keeping from me and that she is paying my 4 current bills :o

Anyways have 3 jobs to apply for today and need to merge my three CV's into one to take to the JSA interview. This Job serching is certainly a full time job, yesterday I was on the computer 2-10 and today so far 10 - now. I will be glad when I secure a job :rotfl:

    Speak soon

Just had it, went really well, the only slip up is 'why did you leave work' :o Had to be honest I hope I have explained it well. Now awaiting an email/phone call :)

Cv done... Now off to apply for the 3 jobs and search for more :T
