  • SF, 2014 will be fabby and hopefully into 2015 for you. I hope you keep your diary updated even if it is adhock because I love reading it. Not any use posting on it because you are doing far better than me and don't need any advice/encouragement.

Aww thanks Beanie, that would be fab then really I only have to get into town which I can walk if need be.

So thinking about money situation last night I really only need to cover my bills on the 15th which are £75. I already have £60 so only really need £15. My petrol can go onto the CC and I can repay my rent at the end of December. I know thats not the best solution but it makes me feel a bit better. I then only really have my next CC payment plus whatever I put onto it to worry about which I can cover in the 21st and 28th wage :T Sorted :D

Hi pap, looks like you have a workable plan. I hope you are soon better, and that there is plenty of overtime! Sounds like you are still pretty upbeat. Inspired by your boxes I have been collecting for the matrix's Christmas challenge for Zimbabwe, today I am sitting with my feet up sewing up 20 knitted teddie bears ready to send on Monday, 11 done and looking good. First time I have knitted for years and it has been hugely enjoyable.
  • Hope you feel better soon PAP, could you please PM me your address? I have a Christmas card for you from little miss :D

Ohh please do SF. You may seem like you are talking to yourself but there are many of us 'listening' ;)

Well I am thinking about working xmas day again, even if it is only the morning 6 hours on the road would net me 4 hours pay *2 = just under £50. Seems ok to me... If work allows it that is :D

What is this Matrix challenge, I can't find it googling, is it on MSE? Glad you seem to be having fun with it though. I am going to visit IKEA on my birthday to get the boxes I use as shoe boxes to dish out what I already have for 2014. I am aiming for my base 6 plus two older male boxes, these two I am going to put more care* into and design a little bit better. I am also going to put £3 a month into one of the boxes I do, then I won't have a huge bill in November :rotfl:

    * That sounds horrid, I do take care over what I put into the other boxes but generally I get loads of stuff reduced/cheap/toyish and then share it out. Whereas these two I want to choose stuff for and take my time over iyswim.

    Hey you :j

So all my xmas gifts are wrapped and purchased, I am awaiting delivery of one more item. All in I spent £113.33, so £13.33 over my £100 budget however really thats the 'extra' I purchased Mum because they were over £20 cheaper. If I were to pay cost prices then it would have cost £192.36 so I am happy with that. I still have that £5 m&s voucher to use, sadly its not been emailed yet as there is 20% off today but nevermind.

Take care all, have a good week :j

  • Ahh thanks Beanie, never been to the mortgage part of the site so thats prob why I haven't seen it. Looks good though, keep up the good work Toots :j

Decided to try and change bank accounts... It has nothing to do with the Natwest problem more to do with the free bonus I can get :rotfl: Can't do First Direct because I don't earn enough however the Halifax one looks good £100 to switch and £5 a month sounds good to me :T Need to 'pay-in' £750 a month though so might need to pop into a branch about 15min drive away once a month to withdraw and then re-credit the account. But for £5 I think its worth it and the £100 could be an extra debt payment. - Anyone any advice on that?

Having a rubbish few days if I am honest but I will snap out of it soon :D

Happy hump day tomorrow all :j

I think changing the account is a go go after someone pointed out a much simpler way of overcoming the 'pay in' rule. I am going to wait until my car insurance has been payed and I will then start switching :D

Beanie I think its a multitude of things and unlesss you have a magic wand nothing can be fixed
