  • I have put a deposit down on a car, I shall be collecting it on Friday :j Thanks for your vibes everyone, it was still there once we found the place and its a great car. I needed to pay more for 6 months tax but its still a great price. There is a small dent/mark on the passenger rear door which will need attention quite soon but its fine for now and for the age of car I was expecting it.

So now a car owner again, insurance monthly £70.60 only £1.69 extra a month and £10 RAC cover. I will need some car mats as someone sent them to the scrapper :o and obviously fuel but I am back in action!

The aim is to re-pay this car and reduce my debt by £300 before the 1st of November. I am going to be begging work to give me overtime and I would still like to attempt the bingo sites. My dream would be to be debt free before the new year, as touch wood if anything goes wrong I can use my CC to pay for repairs as it would be being paid down.

Things are on the up! Icing on thw cake this week would be getting into college and getting in free... We shall see, at least I have some influence on my life now :T

Opps spends today, NSD's since last update:

£3.30 - bus to Mum, 1/2 way to car
    £2.00 - 2 * bottles of drink

    £2.80 remains

Must keep on top of this, I want to see where money goes for this month and posting here keeps me accountable :D

    Edit!
    So playing with my budgets:

    Friday...
    £70.60 car ins
    £40.00 bills
    £40.00 rent
    £40.00 petrol

£190.60 - I wanted to make a debt repayment but I will have to wait and see what income I recieve.

    13th
    £40.00 bills
    £40.00 petrol
    £40.00 rent

£120 - Hopefully a £100 debt repayment can be made here, it is the cake show weekend but I am hoping for no spends.

From then on in my weekly budget will mirror that of the 13th. I will hopefully repay my debt in £50/£100 chunks and have little or no spends myself. My sole aim is paying down the debt. I do need to save for car tax in Feb but I can attempt that weekly as it works out as £5 a week. I will set asside a tin for that ;) I will prob attempt the bingo sites to generate cashback income but I will not do it if it will take money away from my debt repayments...

Getting debt free is my highest prority now!

  • Well done you, you are on your way. Don't worry about the first maths class, it is the least important one of the year. Pleased about the car too, I do hope your hard work is paying off and your luck is on the up.
