  • No, which is frustrating and it's not exactly cheap :o I have no idea, she has told me but I didn't retain the information. I know we are flying to Avignon but its a 2 hour car ride from there!

My work say that if the sevice user wants your company/staffing to eat then they have to pay as part of their budget or work will sometimes pay.. Thats not really fair :(
March 2013 LBM so here goes....PAID OFF £6944! Unfortunately have built it all back up again! Amounts to be added up soon! Scare myself into action! 30/05/2018 LBM 2
  • Sorry I have been MIA, I have lost a week... Somewhere

:rotfl: Snaggs and Beanie, exactly. It looked ok on too but it just didn't feel right. Being £5 I didn't wnat it sat in the cupboard before it went to charity.

TTGU, I know its really bad, not to mention collecting someone from a hospital and them not paying mileage/your time i.e you collect them at 10 and thats when you start getting payed but its taken you 20min to drive to the hospital when there home is 5min away  However its work and I am keeping shum! It only cost £15 so not bad.

So been mega busy, I have worked one of the two days off I get a week plus been walking loads!

Walk! I have actually done 20% more steps this week than last due to walking more often.
GCSE I have filled in the application but I must send it this week.
Do 'something' with Mum every fournight. Film last Friday was amazing! This week we are doing something on Sunday... Unsure of what?
Decorate my room. Found two colours I like, light and spacey is £23 (my prefered) however endurance is £25 both in 5l is £40. I can't remember if this room had 5l last time but it will be covering cookie dough brown so I will prob need 5L.
    Smile everyday :D
Live a little/Spend some money! Spent £8 on two 3/4 trousers, £8 on a top (very sheer, very girly ) and £3 on a vest. In another shop I spent £23 on 8 tops, 4 of which replace some old long sleeve white ones I have. I do have to take some items back but they will be replaced with different/smaller sizes.

I now only need a hat, some hair grips, bottle of shampoo/shower gel all in one and a couple more vests. That will be France done!

I also need to buy some paper to finish a thankyou card for the hosts. I will also be getting some euro's for the card in leui of a bottle of wine. I know I shouldn't but I will be paying no board and be taken out at least once for free. I think I need to do/give soemthing and this is easier.

So thats my spends planned for the coming two weeks. Have £200 saved for my MOT, it isn't much but its a start! I am still aiming for £450 before its taken in, thats with nothing from France. I have discussed wiuth Mum what I will do if its over £400 to fix (the £50 is the cost of the mot).

So thats an update, hope you all arn't melting in the sun! Have a great weekend :T

    Hi, PAP,

You’re going great guns! How long before you go to France?

I think it’s a lovely idea to make your hosts a thank you (“Merci”) card. One suggestion, though. Rather than put Euros in it, why not take them something “typically British"?

We have several French friends (two of whom are coming tomorrow to stay for a week) & they all seem to love Cadbury’s chocolate, which they can’t get over there. (No accounting for taste!)

If you’re worried about chocolate melting on the way over, how about a box of shortbread or fudge? I seem to remember that you were making fudge a while back so – if you could bear doing it in this heat – perhaps you could take a box of your home-made. I’m sure it would go down well.

Have a great time. Look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

    GF x

Sorry I have been MIA just had nothing to share :o

GF, great suggestion however they don't solely live in France. They are actually flying back to France monday after being 'home' for nearly two weeks. There life seems to be winter in England and summer in France. However during the summer they are always flying back and forth to the UK mainly when their son is in France using the house for a holiday. So they don't 'miss' anything :o

Also I need to be careful as the mother has an array of health conditionms which mean certain foods are out of reach. However they are always drinking wine, I don't think lunch/tea happens without a glass of something :rotfl: Hence wanting to buy wine.

    We fly next Saturday

Walk! Yes... except my fitbit had broken, getting it replaced for free :T
GCSE Application sent just waiting for an interview
Do 'something' with Mum every fournight Last Sunday we went to the garden centre and a long walk. Nothing this week as our days off don't marry. Next week I am taking Mum to an appointment and maybe going to the cinema?
    Smile everyday :D
Live a little/Spend some money This week I booked to see Charlene again in October £13 ;) The paper for the card cost £4.27.

Still havn't finished my France stuff. The vest's etc can be purchsed when I return some items that don't fit next Friday. I will also get a hat/hair grips while down there. Will take the toiletries I have here so thats one less thing to purchase.

I do however really need some new crocs. I purchased my current pair in 2009 and although I haven't worn them much mum has. I put them on the other day and they are about to wear through. So thats going to be the biggest purchase before france. I could buy some cheap ones I suppose? Maybe I will look at the cheap ones you can buy in town :o Either way I will let you know :rotfl:

By the end of next week I should have £350 saved for my MOT but a lot depends on my spends this week for France. Oh and I am off swimming £5 and to the cinema tonight £6.

Have a great weekend all :D

I've just been to the swimming pool (the one you go to) for the first time in 18 years!!! It wasn't too busy this morning. I don't think I fancy going though when it's really busy.

Have a good time in France.

Dangers thats where I just was :rotfl: It was busy ish, lots of kids! Didn't do much swimming but did some areobic excercises in the pool. Was fun! Shame I missed you :( We don't go when they have the busy policy in place as its not worth the time/money/effort.

Get a laptop Found one I like for £400 or a HD for £500. They maybe cheaper else where but at least I have a savings goal :D

Have a nice break forums
