  • Thanks Sparks and Beanie, unless he stumps up the cash we are not going! I am done being the cash point/shop for everything he needs.

Swimming was great but only 30 laps! It was lovely and quite when we got in but by the time I had got to 20 the pool was crammed. Not surprising on BH and a sunny day. I would have pushed for 40 but the movement of the water was playing havok on my back. We are off down there Thursday but Mum is paying ;) I may also go down on Saturday :T

So this week has gone to pot really. And I may now have no saves for my car tax... I am so glad I am putting less away each week now for bills, well from the 15th ;)

Basically we have gone from a three car family to my car  Mums car is going to cost approx £200 to fix and my brother has no tax and I believe he has defaulted on his insurance payments. Which is fine but I have been collecting Mum from work (its that or she walks) and the trips to the pool hasn't helped. So I spent an extra £30 on petrol yesterday... But that gave me a full tank :T I also spent £5 on 6 tins and 20 pouches of dog food (reduced) which I couldn't pass up.

Now I am about to top my phone up with £10 as a 2min call to work ended with a 10min conversation and ate up the £4 I was hoping would last untill friday :o

So I should post an updated budget but will leave it until Thurs/Fri. Its not pretty but it life and I need my car and credit for work.

    Have a good week all.

    :cool2:

Oh and my bag arrived :j Its beautiful, just the right size/colour, so I have now got to make the lining/bag for inside so I must source a clasp. So glad I ordered it :D
  • Swam on Thursday 40 and Saturday 26 :j Will not be swimming until Thursday now as have a busy week at work :(

Legoland is not happening Thursday so I am going to keep the ticket for Mum and I. Although it maybe used for a different attraction. I am also collecting the Sun for this offer, will cost approx £3.60 for the paper's so will use that to go with lil bro as that reduces the cost to £22 each inc petrol :j

    Budget:

    £343.70

    £11.02 House Insurance
    £37.10 BT
    £22.08 Dog Insurance
    £195.00 Loan (last one :j)
£9.50 RAC (new year, has increased a little but had three call outs last year for 2 different cars, still cheaper than AA/Green Flag etc)
£4.48 sports direct (new googles and a swim cap)
    £24.20 aldi (food shop)
£30.00 petrol (not exact but not over)
£3.00 pets at home (reduced fish decoration, they originally wanted £20 for it )
    £5.00 parking (for tomorrow :()

    = £341.38 :o

I have 5p's here to cover the paper and I have £5 for swimming on Thursday. My tax will have to be saved and will be purchased on the 24th :T

June and July's excess income will all be saved for the mot/cc debt. Asside from Legoland visit, swimming visits and a day trip with Mum as we ae both on holiday in June. I am tempted to get a 12 swims for £50 ie 2 free soon as these £5 are mounting. If I go every day I am off in June I will still recop the cost, £50 is a lot though :o

Anyways have a great week all :j

Would a gym membership not be cheaper
  • Sparks, yes but I would prob use it anyway. I love that pool and I try and get there as much as I can before it closes for the season.

Skint, its June 8th. Can't wait really just waiting to see if I can add Mum onto the visit or if i would have to come home and collect her before the concert.

Beanie, it £4.50 in council run pools for 2hours worth of swim. For £5 on weekends I can arrive at 8am and leave at 7pm so well worth it. Plus its run by the community and its much friendly than council run pools.

Taxi, maybe but gyms are not my thing really. To get a gym with a pool attached you either have to travel far or pay huge amounts. Come September I will not have a huge income I really don't want to have to find another £20+ a month because I am in contract. At the moment I am swimming and walking, once the season finishes/I am at college that will only be walking.
