  • Thanks Taxi :j

The application has been filled in but still haven't finalised my personal statement.

So now I have a dilemma :o I have won tickets to a show/concert/festival through a local radio station I listen too. The problem is its on the 8th, same day as the uni open day :( It wouldn't be so bad but the show is 12noon till 10pm, so all day. The uni day is 10am till 4pm... Unless I go to uni first and miss the start of the show?

I'd go to the uni first for 10am then onto the show.

I'm with Taxi - the uni will be quieter that early too as the younger students (like 16/17s) won't be up that early!

  • Thanks Taxi, Sparks and Lou. I did email the uni and ask if there are any other open days but no reply. If there isn't I shall do the uni first then onto the concert. Its not as if the uni is miles away and I have no need to see the accomodation etc. I am unsure if I want to visit other uni open days too :o

So today I have spent <£20 for 2* swimming plus we stopped of on the way home for some food. Completed 32 laps :T so thats 59. Not much more than last time but I am getting much faster. Might go on Saturday morning as I have that off, otherwise it will be next Saturday.

Also picked up 6hrs work on Monday (double time)... However its already been spent. I recieved a kellogs 'grown ups go free' box top for free and me and lil brother have always wanted to visit Legoland. So its £46 entry and approx £40 fuel so £45 each, which is conveniently the pay I will recieve for Monday. We will be going on the 16th :D If I hadn't got that overtime I would never have even thought about going and as its money that I would never have had iyswim I am not going to feel guilty!

Productive day too, finished NVQ work just need to take the maths test in a few weeks, wash/hovered car, swimming, finished recovering a cushion for my sister, stripped/remade bed and I am just about to take up one of the trousers I purchased the other week. Shame I didn't recieve my wage slip to sort my budgets :rotfl:

Skinty, many thanks. I am thinking come next year I will not have the funds or time to do stuff and I am calling Legoland a present for paying off my loan ;)

So budgets, pay is rubbish :(

    £483.97

    £150 car saves - Car insurance £69.58 £80.42 tax
    £219 bills
    £40.00 rent
    £40.00 petrol
    = 290.34

    £449.00

    = £34.97

Now Mum wants the £40 I had saved for the holiday back as her car has gone wrong. So I shall have to take the missing £5.03 from my bill saves and replace it next week.

This therefore means no swimming this week :(

Have a great weekend all :T

Take swimming money out of bill saves and put it back.

  • Thanks Beaine, I have but my car tax saves as I have longer to replace that ;) I m just about to leave for the pool :T

I have also spent £6.82 on medication for my fish, however I am not sure he will make it :( Legoland is not happening now unless lil bro bucks up his idea's. He was supposed to give me 1/2 of his entrance fee this week and half petrol next week but that hasn't happened. I refuse to pay and then he pay me back because it won't happen. So if we don't go then I will prob use it in June on my work holiday, even if Mum and me go to the sealife centre instead. Very  though.

Hope everyone is having a great bank holiday!
