good news on the insurance savings but still very pricey..ouch
Taxi, thats with two accidents and business cover too. If I had some NCD's it could have been a whole lot cheaper but thats life. I will accept the £834 vs £7k that LV wanted
Beanie, Thanks... I have already updated my budgets! I used to put away £30-£50 for my car insurance each week, its now £25 max (on short months) and once May is over with instead of putting away £70-£90 a week for bills it will now be £40 max. Watch out CC I am coming for you!! :rotfl:
Really want to make another payment this week to the CC, or at least put something away towards it. Need £122.26 to cover my outgoings, so anything over and above that will be put towards the CC I think.
:cool2:0 -
not a bad price then with 2 accidents and no NCD0
-
When put like that my driving sounds horrendous!
£553.96 in bank
£80.00 cheque (I wrote for my brother, however have the cash here. That will cover my petrol and rent)
£292 bills
£60 car insurance saves (I am still saving £150 this month as it will cover my tax at the end of May)
£5.00 cake show tin
= £437.00
So £116.96 left over, I am thinking £50 CC, £10 OCC, £20 groceries, £5 cake show and £30 MOT saves?
:cool2:0 -
Forgove me for I have sinned :rotfl:
Spent £29.89 in Morrisons for a 2-3 week shop, can live with the overspends here as it will last another week at least - Budgeted :j
Spent £11.00 OCC stuff in Morrisons - £1 over Budget
Then went for dinner @ Costa- £15 of my petrol money
Then walked around Tesco and picked up too many bargians to mention for OCC - £15.20 not even in budget
Leaving £51.41 from my 'left over money'. So for now I am going to leave that in my account and it will either go to CC min payment next month or to my MOT saves.
Positive is... only ballons, stickers and sweets left for my shoeboxes! And everything I purchased was £1 or under including some notebooks reduced to only 20p :T
I do feel a little guilty because I have overspent but in my defence I haven't spent like this in ages, as seen on my diary as everything I spend is posted here. Also its not junk/stuff I am filling my room with its actually a positive.
:cool2:0 -
Dont beat yourself up.

What sort of balloons? Little packets of them? I have quite a few of these (bought too many for daughter's birthday party, for the party bags), and if they are the sort of thing you are wanting, I could send them to you?
I hate balloons, so you'd be doing me a favour. :rotfl:I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. If you have any questions about debt management and debt relief under Scots Law, just ask.The pain you feel today is the strength you feel tomorrow.0 -
Beanie, yes I must admit they were a bargain! Sometimes you must jiggle the budgets to enable this bargains to be had.
Snaggles, aww thats kind of you. Yes normal ballons you blow up, they go mad for them apparentlyI usually buy a bag of 100 and split them between the six boxes and then put them in bags. Only the shop I usually buy them in £1 for 50 had £1.50 for 20 the other week
Not much happening here, did spend about £5 yesterday as I bought Mum and I a coffee while we were out. We went to Swindon for my lil brother so took the dog with us to a lake place that was free entry but stoped for a drink.

Aww many thanks again Snaggles, I shall pm you in a mo. No rush they don't need to be given to the warehouse until August.
I am not happy.... Work has deducted that overpayment again this week  Thats £47.xx I am down this week, despite messages etc the payroll person seems to be avoiding my calls! I am hoping they will pay it next week, in which case it should cover the min payment for my CC, but thats not the point
Since posting I have spent £3 from my cake show spend for tampons, why my body decides to have its yearly period when the person in work is well enough to swim I will never know. I don't use them hence why I had none at home. I now have a packet that may last my whole life :rotfl: I also frittered £10 of that £51 I had spare, mostly on food plus a new suduku book
So budget:
£259.24
£90.00 car saves
£73.00 bills
£8.92 RAC
= £87.32 left
Already paid my rent this week (today) and I am hoping not to fill up the car too much, not working until Tuesday anyway. I am going swimming on Monday, the pool is back open its a community thing and much better than council run pools! Its £5 but unlimited time swimming and I generally get a drink at the pool too. So the remaining will be split as £30 petrol, £10 swimming, £10 cake show, £13 craft box and £20 floating. The £4.32 will be thrown at my MOT saves. The £2 from the money from the cake show tin will be sending a parcel... at lastSorry Beanie!
Cake tin = £25
MOT = £13.90
I am unsure how many times I will swim this season but I would love to go between work as some days I have 5hrs spare between calls. However the £5 will add up... Something I need to think about.
The £13 craft box is a new thing I have decided to start, it will be a monthly treat to myself. They will take payment on the 1st usually but for your first box you pay before hand. As I don't spend any of my wage on myself at present, unless you count the internet or saves for the cake show I have decided on this as a treat. Right or wrong? :rotfl:
Have a great weekend all :j
