  • Sparkles, I can see how it could have happened, but I am not sure why it did? I don't want to mention it in detail but its not great is it?

Beanie, I know I was completly shocked. So gift voucher all around! Its one reason I stopped giving at Easter/Birthdays too. Lets just say it will be a boring Christmas this year with nothing to open :o

This news article was featured on Wednesday's news and it was the talk of the day with work. To be honest I don't believe in any of it and no matter what class you are or arn't people will still look down their noses at you. However out of interest I took the little calculator thing... I am aparently I am a precariat which is the poorest, most deprived class, scoring low for social and cultural capital :rotfl:

:rotfl: I just had a look at that test thingy, and it's safe to say you can take the results with a pinch of salt!

How annoying that your wages were wrong. They may be able to take it back at a slower rate, if you think it would benefit you to pay back £10 a week or something, but I guess if you have it available, you may as well just get it sorted rather than having it dragging on.

Vouchers sound like a good idea. Actually, I think I'd be tempted not to buy for those who sold my previous gifts on for a profit, but I'd probably decide to ignore it, for the sake of a peaceful life.

    Ditto what Beanie says. :)

  • taxi, I am tending to agree with Snaggles and don't believe any of it. I have always put myself as working class anyway (using the old system) so that was bottom of the heap too :rotfl:

Beanie, bless you :A I haven't forgotten your Mc thingie btw.

Snaggs, :rotfl: They offered to take it at x per week but I would just prefer for them to take it in one go. Saves owing someone else money. The good thing though was I got an extra 2hrs work this weekend so that should help a bit towards it.

I so would love not to give gifts at christmas. Its down to 3/4 now but I would love to make it 1. As you say for a peaceful life I just give hence the £10 limit. I can't be bothered this year though, I spent a good two days looking for gifts and thats the thanks. If I didn't like a gift I wouldn't sell it one, give it to charity maybe but sell it on

Just filled the petrol tank tonight £28.58 so £5 under budget. That £5 will be taken out on Friday and put into my tin for the cake show. Oh and mentioning the cake show, someone offered me some free tickets :T only it is the wrong show, that show is in April :( I would love to go to both but finances only allow one, so Sept it is :D

Happy new tax year all :rotfl:

:T :j for under-budget petrol. I can honestly say that has never happened to me! I usually watch the display in horror as I effectively pick my bank account up, turn it upside down and shake all the money out into my fuel tank. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Snaggs, love the image you portrayed there! I am quite good and working out how much I need to put into my tank to get a full tank I was just lucky that I worked it out wrong this week.

NSD's since last post and car insurance sorted :j

My renewal came in at... £1528.00  Compared to £661.44! So got on the phone and decided to go with Diamond (don't believe the ethics but hey!) and phoned up Admiral. Well after explaining that the same company underwrites Dimond, Elephant (my second cheapest) and Admiral I am perplexed as to the high quote. So after the lady doing some changes (mainly adding Mum as a driver) it was still over £1000 with Admiral and the lady on the phone could not explain it and was as shocked as me. So they matched it!!! Policy for policy plus the added bonus of a hire car for 21 days if my car is ever written off. Works out as £69.53 per month so £834.xx a year which is less than what I payed two years ago pre accidents. Plus its with a company that I prefer :T

    Thats a monthly saving of £80.47 :j :rotfl: :j
