Sounds good Pap, it is great to have a space of ones own, if I couldn't spend some time on my own I would be murderous!

Thanks Toots, for now it is working out great although I wasn't here yesterday. Time will tell I thnk....

So this is why I never go out. I am not impressed at all and this is the cheapest I had. All I drank was water except the bottle of coke I purchased.

£6.00 - Lunch (liked this place and reasonable too, may take Mum sometime...)
    £1.60 - Coke
£4.50 - Parking (service user paid me cash but I had to use my card)
£23.00 - Dinner    (main and dessert - I passed on the starter thinking I could just be charged for the main... No its a set course :o)

    = £35.10

    So...

    £169.45 + £17.00 (cash) = £186.45

    £75 car ins
    £73 bills
£10.00 rent (its still here as Mum used my card to top up her phone, it will drop off my budget once its been taken from my bank)
    £1.94 paypal (ethernet)
    £23.00 dinner
    £4.50 parking

    =£187.44.... -0.99 :D/:o

I am guessing that is good I can live with being £1 out. However I am sure I will need petrol. So I have kept the £17 for now and will use that for petrol this coming week I think. Which means I will have to replace £18 on Friday. I should get paid approx £100 for yesterday so that plus four days holiday should see me straight!

52 days until last loan repayment and change of insurance :j

Pap, you are doing so brilliantly. Your finances are always so organised. I struggle to keep track of what goes in (not much) and out (loads) of my account, and breathe a huge sigh of relief when it gets to payday and I have survived (financially survived, I mean - let's not be TOO dramatic about it! :rotfl:).

I think the move upstairs will be good for you. I hardly ever socialise either, and having a nice space to 'stay in' in makes all the difference.

Beanie I can't believe it either, I remember posting here about it 8 months ago and saying how it feel so far away and I never thought I would make it... Its now two payments away, less than 60days.

Aww thanks Snaggs, I do try and keep on top of my finances but sometimes its a bit of a juggle. I had to laugh at your surviving, I must admit I would be lost if I had to even attempt to run a home with little/no income. I would give it a good try but I don;t think I would be as succesful as I am right now.

Well so far so good but I am spending a few hours on an evening downstairs, mainly to eat and watch tv. However its got its good points as instead of on here and watchin I am actually crafting at the same time. I am hoping to start on some christmas gifts in the next month.

Not done much these past two days, some nvq stuff for work although totally can't do the maths bit. Also did a huge tidy of my computer, I even dug out my external hard drive and cleared a bit of that. Saw old hol snaps though and really need to get back on the wagon with this lifestyle plan, can I right now afford the price though. Even frugally its still approx £20 a week, £80 a month :o Maybe something to think about.

I also played with figures, I am sure I posted something similar before but can't find it while searching but here is my propsed for June.

    Monthly

    4th £68.00 ~ Car insurance
    15th £11.02 ~ House Insurance
    15th £37.10 ~ BT
    15th £22.08 ~ Dog Insurance
    15th £8.92 ~ RAC
    = £150.00

    Weekly

    £40.00 ~ Rent
    £40.00 ~ Petrol
    £40.00 ~ Bills
    £20.00 ~ Food
    £140.00

    = £60.00 for approx £200 income

My aim is anything over the £200 will go towards the debt without even accounting for it. Then the remaining £60 will be split £10 'me' money for anyhing I need and £30 debt and £20 MOT. Therefore I should be servicing my debt with £120 per month min :D

I will be working with three accounts, my main account (I use now with my direct debits attached) will house my bills money and rent, my second account (held at same bank) will house my food and 'me' money. I will then send my MOT money to my Coop saver and the debt will be payed each Friday. The only thing I am unsure of is how the debt will work with the min payment but I can address that nearer the time.

Two months to go :T Must to making plans for it, but I can't wait!

:o Took Mum out for dinner yesterday instead, so had to pay £10.29 from my bills saves for my petrol. I also then came home and purchased some new books for my kindle. I havn't bought any for a long time but the free ones weren't as tempting as those in the spring sale, so thats three books for £2.77.

    Anyways...

£522.09 (Great wage, it would appear I got payed holiday pay and paid a wage for saturday. Also milage week.)

    £150 car ins (out 5th)
    £146 bills saves
    £2.77 amazon
    £10.92 petrol (already purchased)
    £40.00 rent
    £30.00 petrol (possible full tank)
    £10.00 mobile top up
    =389.69

    =132.40 remaining

So thats the min payment for the CC and over £80 still left. So I am going to buy three pair of trousers for work as I am fed up of fixing these now (£27) and I really want to see Robot & Frank, but I have missed it at the cinemas, except an independant. So might do that on Saturday/Sunday/Friday and may even bus it for a change (£15 approx), but that depends.

Have a great easter all :icotbaske

    :cool2:
  • Got extra work today = :j Sent to the wrong address = Empty tank of fuel = The extra work wasn't really worth the hassle =

So full tank of petrol (ie light on) using petrol prices to get the cheapest was £39.36 for 28.96l. However I did also get a coffee and bar of choc as I may have forgotten it was bank holiday and therefore did a 45min journey in 3min :o = £42.21... £12.21 over budget :(

Also I am not going to go to the cinema because I have decided to save with a view of visiting here (the London one), two tickets are £30 - 25% off and megabus return is £28 + tube fares. Its a huge expense I know and its something I will give myself a few weeks to decide. I obviously want to go away in November which is two weeks after this so maybe I should pay for that first? Anyways I have taken £10 out of my account and stashed it in a tin and I will decide in a few weeks if I am to go or not.

    Hi, PAP,

Groupon have a deal for the Manchester Cake & Bake Show at the moment (£9 for one or £14.50 for two, on sale until midnight tomorrow). I know that's no good for you but it's possible that they'll have tickets for the London one nearer to the time. I'll keep my eyes open & PM you if I see anything!

    Hi GF,

Ohhh I haven't seen that Groupon although I have mine set at my home town, never used it mind :o Thanks thats a great idea, maybe I should check London's page out too (if I can even do that?). I have a 25% discount code so that makes it £22.50 for two so the Groupon offer would work out much better value for money. If you see anything do let me know... Still not 100% decided either way yet. The only sad thing is it will be a day trip which is so annoying because I adore London. Unless I make it a weekend thing and go alone  Need to think about it. I shall make my final decision in June sometime, unless a deal comes up first.

    :cool2:
  • Not been on for a while, well not posting anyway! So the remaining money from my wages was split as below...

£60 CC - payment (£15 more than min)
    £27.00 - 3* trousers (size smaller :T)
    £2.70 - 2* coffee & 2* cake (this morning with mum)
    £4.65 - Lunch with Mum
£7.27 - Lunch with work
£18.36 - Groceries (Enough for two weeks plus 6* twin pack toothbrushes, 5* toothpaste and 5*chalk for OCC
    )

Some bad things but some not too bad. I have also paid my rent for the week and I also spent another £10 in cash for OCC (face cloths, 2* 45 crayons, erasrs/sharpners, skipping rope, 10* combs, 6* math geometry sets and beads/string to make those bracelets) and a card for a friend. I have to get back on plan re food, I have felt so sluggish this past week and although my sleeping is on plan I feel awful. The amount I spent should last two weeks with a f&v and drink top up next Friday. I think £60 a week will be worth it even if I pay the CC off slower.

I am yet to do my budget for tomorrow as I am unsure of my wage. But all seems fine and I may not need petrol until next Friday if I am careful. I am hoping to make a CC overpayment. I am now back on a strict NSW till at least next Friday.

Oh and the shoeboxes are almost done! Just ballons, pencil crayons, felt pens, writing pads and sweets to go :T I am thinking about making an extra two this year... Am I mad?
